Kenmore 3.4 cu. ft. Top-Load Washing Machine - Optimum Efficiency
Featuring a Dual Action Plus agitator and powerful spin cycles, the Kenmore 3.4 cu. ft. top-load washing machine 20022 offers energy efficient cleaning to save you money. The unique agitator works detergents deep into clothes using both sideways and clockwise motions, while the bleach dispenser delivers perfectly mixed concentrations to more effectively clean your clothes. The powerful 700 rpm spin cycle shortens the time required for drying, saving even more energy. With four load sizes, four water temperatures and eight cycle options, this Kenmore top-loading washing machine allows you to adjust for each individual load.
- The Dual Action® agitator moves both side-to-side and clockwise to double the cleaning power while still delivering gentle care for delicate fabrics.
- Multiple wash cycles give your hardy work clothes, delicate linens, and stained fabrics the treatment they need to look their best.
- A small footprint makes this washer an easy fit for apartments, basements and starter homes, while powerful performance delivers the same clean you’d expect from larger machines.
- Whether you’re washing wool, cotton or high-tech fabrics, a choice of four water temperatures makes it easy to customize your wash.
- Rapid spin speeds squeeze excess water from clothes, linens and more for faster, easier transfer to your dryer and shorter dry times.

I was VERY unhappy when my washer of 20 years finally died...and I been nursing it along for 2 years prior! However, in August last year I gave in. This NEW washer was very 'loud' compared to the 'noises I was used to' from my 20 year old machine. The reviews I had read about this machine, did not make me feel much better. After using this machine for the past 7 months, I must say I am pleased. In fact, it dries the clothes so well, that they spend less time in the dryer. The shape of the tub seems to allow for more clothes and they are less crowded. I am not thrilled with the locking device, but I understand the reason and grudgingly live with it. Over all...this is a good machine for any couple who do no more than 2 large loads a week. I am not putting much stress on this washer. I doubt it will last half as long. If I get 10 years out of it...I will be THRILLED!
...and I speak from experience when I say that this is a very good washing machine. It does a great job of cleaning and the higher speed spin shortens dry time. These new generation washers do operate a little differently than the older models, but I like it better. You can't go wrong with this model.

After reading some of these reviews I was a little nervous about purchasing this product. It turns out they were wrong. This is a top notch product. Very high quality too. It is very modern compared to our Mother's Kenmore. The timer is 100% electronic. The machine has 5 different water levels (load sizes), multiple water temps, too. I like the many wash cycles there are to choose from. All the way from Heavy Duty to Delicate as well as rinse and spin only. The real test came with the ability to clean clothes. All my whites and colored clothes came out clean and bright. I highly recommend this product. James (retired) from Chula Vista, California
I am thoroughly impressed with this washer, no problems at all, Was VERy upset at the delivery people though, they drove up in my yard and I was boiling hot, I will file a complaint about them, but the product itself is great!! My only complaint that really has nothing to do with the washer it self is the matching dryer, I like the vertical door option instead of the horizontal opening option, and the matching dryer does not offer that option, but for this price, I am still well pleased a week later, not problems, and clothes are fresh and clean, PLUS it looks like a nice upscale washer that is much more expensive. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY customer! Will purchase other Kenmore products!

I just installed this washer in today. No fabric softener dispenser on this so you have to manually add softener after rinse cycle fills. Stood there through two washings trying to add when rinse water was full. Lid locks so you have to time it just right. Washer went through motions , but no water filled up enough to add softener. Called troubleshooting and have service appt already tomorrow. Disappointed. One year warranty sounds like it might be used often. Hope it is a simple fix.
I haven't gotten used to these buttons and the stop and start yet, but I want people who are looking at this model to know that it doesn't come with a fabric softener dispenser like the description says, if you have an agitator. Mine is downstairs and I am over 65, so having a softener dispenser was very important. I called the store and they said I could bring it back and replace it with a model that did and I am not able to do that. Make sure things you buy online and have delivered are what you want before the delivery guy leaves the house.
I got this on a Veteran's Day deal (online). I got surprise points and used a coupon code. I spent less on the washer and dryer than I would have on black Friday. It does take a while for the washer to wash the clothes but that does not bother me. It works great, and I am VERY happy with the purchase. I hope it lasts for years to come!
If this machine is supposed to be energy saving, it is the opposite. The extra small load size fills over half full. The water temperatures are basically hot or cold. The cold water just drips into the machine even after having a technition change the cold water fill valve. For some odd reason, the machine will fill for the rinse cycle then just drain the water without any agitation or spinning. So when the cycle is finished you open the lid to see your sopping wet clothes with soap still on them. We were going to purchase another brand of machine but we listened to the salesman who talked us into this Kenmore machine. Never again.
