I change my filter about every 6 months and can definitely tell a difference. I refill my water bottle from my refrigerator now and save on the cost of bottled water.

I really feel as if this product could be made to last longer. It seems as though every time you turn around you need to replace this filter. My husband finally brought a brita water filter so that we could cut down on the usage of the filter. This seem like it is just an expensive feature that could be improved on.

I have used this water filter each time I need a replacement for the past seven years. It immediately begins working and filtering my water every time. It is very easy to install with a simple half turn. It lasts about twice as long as the standard recommended time frame, which is about a year instead of six months.

I've been using the Kenmore filters since I bought my Kenmore Elite refrigerator maybe 7 years ago. I change the filters regularly (per the gauge on the refrigerator). As far as I can tell, the filtering works well. BUT, I *DREAD* every time I have to change the filter...I am a strong woman, but it is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to turn the knob to remove the filter and almost equally hard to turn to install. The good news is that I don't have to change the filter that frequently (maybe every 6-12 months?). The price has increased significantly with my most recent purchase (I used to buy a 2-pack online, but the shipping cost is exorbitant, so I purchased directly from the Sears store this time). I think I will by an aftermarket brand/buy from a source other than Sears next time.
