We cook ALOT. We use a ventless range hood because we do not want the cold air that comes in from through the wall or ceiling models. So it is important that they remove fumes and grease. These things work!
I thought I'd have to spend a small fortune to get an range vent that is as powerfull and featured as the one I bought from sears. It was less close to $150 and has a super powerfull, 450 crm dual blower ! That's more powerful than anything I've seen for under $500. It even has a completely variable speed control. I've never seen that before - even much more expensive models only have 1 or 2 speeds. After buying it I, I was concerned that there wouldn't be a decent filter for it. I read that the best units used charcoal. But, sears had a terrific filter - it has around four different layers of different materials (including charcoal). It's everything you could ask for and then some - it even has a sensor to tell when it's time to replace it. It was very reasonably priced and I received it fairly quickly (within the time promised). I'm very glad I made the purchase. I would highly recommend to anyone.
