Kenmore Progressive Canister Vacuum - Superior Cleaning

Cleaning floors and furniture is now a simple process with the Kenmore Progressive canister vacuum. A 2-motor system, retractable cord storage, Stair Grip and variable speed settings make carpet and bare floor cleaning a cinch. This vacuum's true HEPA filter keeps pet dander and dust out of the air so you can breathe easy. From the 7-foot hose that swivels 360 degrees and reaches the highest surfaces to the Horsehair dusting brush for fine wooden furniture and floors, this vacuum has the tools to get the job done.

  • Designed to make cleaning-up after pets a cinch, the Pet PowerMate™ attachment lifts hair, dander and more from furniture, rugs and carpeting in seconds.
  • Ideal for all types of cleaning, the variable speed control lets you adjust the vacuuming speed based on the amount of dust and dirt you're picking up.
  • The exclusive Stair Grip™ feature keeps the canister body upright and securely in place while the stairs get cleaned, for solid performance and increased safety.
  • A 6-foot hose reaches from floor to ceiling, around corners and far beyond, so no matter where you need to clean, dirt cannot escape.
  • Quick to connect and featuring an array of attachments, the CrossOver Handle rapidly transitions the vacuum from carpet to flooring, crevice cleaning to pet hair pick-up.
  • The True HEPA certified filter can be trusted to remove almost all significant allergens from air flowing through the vacuum, so you can breathe easy.

Attachments are not very useful
I LOVE vacuums. Absolutely my favorite household appliace. Pros (and background) - I've owned this vacuum for about six months, after my previous Sears Progressive (upright) had it brush literally come out of the moldings. I had it for over 12 years. I replaced it with a this canister, since I've never had one and it sounded likfe fun, and (practically) I have a combo of wood, tile, rugs & carpets. I've been very pleased with the pickup of pet hair, dirt - whatever else I throw at it. I do enjoy being able to go from carpet to wood/tile floors with just a switch of the button, conveniently located on the handle. The telescoping wand is fun - I've enjoyed vacuuming my ceiling and getting spiders at a safe distance .. Cons - Tools. The crevice tool is not long enough to use on my sofa, between the seats in the car, or in the dryer's vent. The dust brush is too wide to use in slender places. I use my old upright for the tools because they're much better.

Piece of ****, cheap and missing features that other older vacuums had.
This vacuum is a POS.... the motor cuts out when you pull on hose. There is warning that says the vaccum won't operate if the hose isn't fully connected but apparently it is never fully connected or just the activity of pulling the vacuum to a new location puts it over the limit. I would take it back but bought it several months ago and only now took it out of the box. Still may try to return anyway, it is that bad. Can't imagine keeping/using for 15 years like past vacuums. Also no way to attach the vacuum head to the unit for easy carrying and storage. This is my second extremely poor experience with Kenmore products. Sorry Sears you've lost another customer due to crappy/cheap products.

Another Winner

I previously had a Kenmore canister vacuum that performed very well. This newer version is even better and am very happy with it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

AWFUL

Sears has ruined what used to be a good product. Now the accesories brush is in the handle, you would think that is convenient - well is is just clunky, rigid, too wide so you cannot get into small spaces, not easy to manouver into those corners you want to clean!. By widening the brush and even worse widening the wand there is less suction. The long spout has two vents - also takes out the suction capacity . Result it just does NOT suck up the dirt as well. To make matters worse, they have added a suction control on the wand, I have no idea who would want to suck less!, and they placed it so close in handle you hit it accidentally way to often. Truly is is NOT a good vacuum anymore!

Not the way they used to make them

My last 2 vacuum cleaners were Kenmores and they served me well for many years. I just bought this one and it is nothing but bulky plastic parts. I was hesitant at the store. Many of the stainless steel parts have been replaced by bulky plastic. But, for the price, I bought it. It's not worth the price. The floor attachment doesn't move well, or fit well under things and it clogs. I was moving out my daughter and vacuumed her hardwoods which had collected dust with the move. The dust just accumulated at the attachment. I had to manually remove it and throw it into the garbage. I am going to buy a different vacuum cleaner. Save your money. No more Kenmore for me.

Love it !

So far everything is fabulous! Love that the cord has a button that reels the entire thing in by itself, I so hate rolling up the cord. Also love that the edger tool is right on the end of the wand, so its easily accessible when i need it. Suction is wonderful and I also like the function to change the strength of the suction. Overall no complaints, great product, worth the money!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Really Sears?

This is the worst Vacuum that I have ever purchased from Sears. First it will not pick up on bare floors much less carpet. Used it for 10 minutes packed it back up and I will be on my way to the store to return it.

Kenmore is the most dependable vacuum I have owned

This vacuum is terrific. It's so easy to use that my husband runs it all around the house. From the living room to the carpets in the bedrooms and through the kitchen, it does it all with no effort at all.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great vacuum cleaner!

I like a canister vacuum because I think they have more power. This vacuum cleaner is lightweight enough for me to pick up, powerful enough to clean carpets well, and is great at picking up pet hair!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Satisfied Sears customer

I found the color to be a bit unusual, but the product has high quality performance as expected from a Sears appliance. The vacuum is very easy to use, picks up dirt very effectively, changes out attachments very easily, and is easy to maneuver.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
