The screw on nipple on the tank would not stay on, The threads were plastic and warped. I never put fluid in the tank, it would have leaked out. I put the machine back in the box and took it back.

Bought this model to replace the same floor scrubber we had for more than 15 years. Hope to get at least 15 years from this one. Easy to assemble, and use. Quick & easy shopping on line & pick up at the local store. Easy to use & handle- not too heavy for a female to use. Everything included to assemble & use right away.

It is very hard to handle, it sways all over the place. Will not clean berber carpets, or carpets with a little shag on it. I called cust care ctr., and they were not helpful at all! They said since it was already four months since I bought it, they could not replace it or exchange it!!

About 20 years ago I bought a Kenmore Heavy Duty Cleaning Machine and loved it. After years of great service, I needed to buy another and that lasted about 9 years. I am so happy that I was able to find Sears selling this machine with some upgrades. It is FANTASTIC, easy to use, easy to carry and clean. It works well on hardwood floors and carpet cleaning.

This carpet shampooer is effective and easy to use! I find it simple to operate. It cleans whole carpet areas easily or you can just clean spots. It will save us a lot on carpet cleaning and I can clean whenever I'd like to.

I have a 4000 SF home with 50% tile floors. I have never been able to keep them clean without getting down on my hands and knees. I was able to clean ALL of my tile in about 4 hours. I tried different cleaning products and found out that water with mild soap worked the best. This product is well made, quiet, and functional. I am glad I bought it. When I went into the Gardens Square Mall Sears and met with Marilyn, she told me that she had sold a number of these units over the years. She was very helpful.

I researched carpet cleaners, and I finally chose this one because it also does bare floors. My husband is in the military, and we move a lot, so I can't anticipate what kind of flooring we'll have in the future. The set up was pretty easy, but the unit is fairly cheap-looking. The "metallic" part at the bottom is actually plastic, though. It looks like metal in the picture, but it's not. The instructions are easy to follow, but one thing I didn't see in my reviews: this unit does not suck the water back up. It just spits out the water and the brushes spin over the carpet. Most of the other models I saw would suck the water back into the unit so you could actually remove the dirt and debris from the carpet. And the really bad part: I only got one minute into cleaning when it broke. The switch box fell off. It just FELL OFF. The assembly instructions said to not tighten too much, so I made sure to stop screwing it on once it became stable. But it still fell off. The problem is that the entire switch box is held on by a little tiny plastic hook and a screw. Seriously, the screw to hold on the switch box (the electrical component!) was smaller than the screws to put the handle together. Also, it sputtered water, even when the trigger wasn't activated. I stopped it and followed the instructions to fix this problem, but it didn't do a thing. Lastly, it doesn't stand upright when not in use. When I stopped using it, I set it up, and it immediately fell over. Not a huge problem, but somewhat inconvenient. My husband and I promptly returned this to Sears and traded it in for a Hoover. He's setting it up right now, so I can't compare, but it already seems sturdier than the Kenmore model. I gave it two stars becasue it did do a good job cleaning the carpets. Before it broke. Thank goodness Sears has a great return policy!

The machine is easy to assemble, easy to use. I use it to polish and buff my waxed hardwood floors. However, the tan polishing pads fly off the machine frequently. a HUGE annoyance and time-waster. As i understand the directions, those are the pads i must use to buff after waxing but i hate them!

I have only had the opportunity to use it on tile so far. Its amazing how well it cleans a texture tile. The machine does leak though enough to be an annoyance.

This is the third Kenmore Professional Carpet Shampooer/Hard Floor Cleaner/Buffer that we have owned. A great product at a reasonable price. Easy to use and a reliable product that lasts 15 years.
