We have had this refridgerator for about 8 months. What we liked about it when we bought it was the interior lights and that the ice maker was in the door which allowed for more interior shelf space. However, when you put food inside, the light from the top shelf gets blocked by the food on the shelfs, so it's very dark on the lower shelves. Also, at least once a day, the ice maker does not dispense ice. It spins, but does not break up the cubes so they fall down. The instructions inside say to "remove the ice bin and to shake it to loosen the ice". I bought a fridge that is supposed to dispense the ice. If I need to remove the bin when I need ice to shake it, I may as well just grab the ice from the top and put it in my glass. Something is not right here. I wouldn't buy this model again.
This is our third side by side refrigerator in our 21 year in our home. Our first was a GE Profile, which contained a substandard compressor, lasted only 7 years and expired on Memorial Day weekend in 1999. Our second was a Kenmore (built by Whirlpool), which expired on Easter Weekend in 2011. Our present one is a Kenmore (built by LG). So far, so good, with the exception of you have to make sure that no ice cubes get caught in the metal lever at the top of the ice bin. This will cause the ice maker to stop producing ice until that lever is free to move. Another negative is that the power cord comes out of the top of the unit instead of the rear. This is the quietest refrigerator we have ever owned. We just hope it lasts as long or longer than the previous Kenmore unit.
We had a Kenmore frig before and that is why we bought this one. It sure has lots of room. It is big!

This is the 2nd fridge, the 1st had various dents/dimples in the freezer door, the fridge door seal hung up on the out case when closing. The replacement has smaller dimples, but not a smooth stainless at all. At least the fridge door will close properly. The howling is from the circulation fan in the freezer compartment, I'll have to get this serviced before the warranty runs out. I don't recommend this fridge.
A well-built refrigerator with new energy efficient concepts. However, I am so disappointed and saddened every time I open the door. The LED lighting is located in the back of the unit, and all the food placed on shelves, covers up the lights. Dark and dreary, not at all please. Very disappointed.

The frig has a lot space. Good for a small to medium size family. The ice maker is loud and the ice sticks together sometimes. But overall, my wife and I think we made the right choice.
I am very pleased with this purchase. I particularly like the convenience of the in door icemaker, which frees up substantai freezer space. Gallon storge shelves in the doors make it easy to store large containers for easy access. Sales Associate in the store as quite professional and made the final sale. Delivery was smooth and efficient.
I read a lot of reviews of a lot of refridgerators but this one worked out great! Our old fridge was 25 so this one is so modern to us. I love the interior and the LED lights are great. I also like to moveable shelves!!
We have had this appliance for 1 year and so far have been pleased with its performance. Nothing has broke down yet. The ice maker has worked flawlessly. I will say it is a bit noiser than I would have liked but for the price and the frig capacity you can't go wrong. We pd approx $1k and bought it online.
The specs on this fridge say it is 35.75 in wide. I had an opening that was 36". I knew .25 inches wasn't a lot, but should have been more than enough. I ended up having to remove another 1/4 to 3/8 inches of the cabinet trim to fit the bulging sides in through the opening. I assumed the 35.75" was the widest part of the fridge, but that dimension was only at the top where all the structure of the fridge held it in place. Maybe in the specs it should give a recommended dimension for the rough opening, like a window?
