I had bought my son a V700 for Christmas a year ago and he moved out on his own so I found myself with no coffee maker! After much looking and thinking well I am the only one that drinks coffee in the house now I decided on this travel size coffee maker. I am Sooo glad I did! Okay can't use K cups but no big deal! It's cheaper to buy the coffee in the bag anyway which I do for my decaf. This makes a wonderful tasting coffee right into the Travel cup which is the size I always use anyway! I don't have any problems with the filter like some nor any leaking. I highly suggest this coffee maker if you are sitting on the fence don't! Get this you won't regret it!
Perfect size for an afternoon single cup of coffee. Stainless steel mug (included) keep coffee hot for several hours, no spill lid seals against leakage. Takes up minimal room on the counter. Would recommend this product.
The Kenmore One To Go Travel Coffee Maker has been a perfect replacement for my Mr Coffee, Jr which lasted for years, but the carafe finally gave-up the ghost. This one brews my coffee, as strong or as mild as I make it. I have found for me, that the three tablespoons per instructions is just about right, but I use heaping tablespoons. I have used it just about every morning since I bought it a few weeks ago, and yeah, it works like a charm. Never had a problem with it yet. The permanent filter does allow some micro-grounds to seep through, but they settle to the bottom of the cup, and are no problem for me. That is the difference between a permanent filter, and a paper filter. I would recommend this to anybody who is in need of a quick morning cup of coffee - and it can be set-up the night before, so all you need to do is push that button (firmly) in the morning. Cheers. :) PS: I am a new employee at Sears, but my opinion is a very honest one regarding this product.

I wanted a simple, "on-the-go" coffee maker and with this one on sale, I figure I'd give it a shot. I'm so happy I did! This is a pretty darn nice coffee maker. The included metal travel cup that comes with it is nothing short of fantastic. It holds a nice volume and really holds the heat well. The rubber grip band is a nice touch, too. The coffee maker works great. It makes a HOT cup of coffee at the right temperature where it's not too hot, nor is it too cool. No, it doesn't make it lightning quick but does make it in the matter of a couple minutes. I will hit the start button when I go to brush my teeth in the morning and when I am done, so is the coffee. When making coffee, I do NOT have the top on the travel mug. I just put it under wide open and it works just fine. I also use my ceramic mug with it without an issue. What's preventing it from being a 5-star product is that the basket is messy to empty. It would be nice if there were paper filters for this maker. I prefer the simplicity of make and toss. So, really, the lack of a star is mostly due to my preference and nothing the coffee maker is doing wrong. For the price, grab one. It is WELL worth it just for the metal, well insulated travel mug alone!

I used it for a couple of times following the provided instructions, it always drips water all over my counter. Product either has design flaw or the unit I have is defective. Unusable. Wanted to return it but since I purchased the item mostly with Shop Your Rewards points, not sure I could get anything back... Complete a waste of money..
Got tired of adding water to the 8 oz Keurig cups (or HAVING THE COFFEE OVERFLOW onto the counter if I tried to make a 10 oz.). This Kenmore one works better than the Keurig and I can make a 12 oz cup if I want to take a roadie. Waiting for the BF sale again this year and I'm going to buy A SPARE !! Comes with 3 year warranty. I feel sorry for those ONE STAR Reviewers..I had no problem getting this one to work and have had it a year now. Comes with FREE Stainless steel Roadie cup worth $ 10.00 !! Well worth the great sale price under $ 20.
Great choice when it's just you or everyone in your household drinks thier coffee stronger or weaker to taste. It's fast and you can use your own cups as well.
I am the only coffee drinker in the house and I had a normal coffee pot but only used it when someone else wanted some to this thing made it convenient to make my self coffee whenever I wanted it works great I've using it for several months now and have had no issues just grab a cup fill it with water and pour in machine add your coffee grounds and just push the button. It shutoff automatically to which is a must for ne it comes with a travel mug as well which is great quality
The instructions with the maker are not as accurate as need be. Here's the order in which to set up and use this item. FIRST- fill the resevoir with water, per booklet. THEN plug it in. DON'T keep the lid on the travel cup, let the coffee maker fill the cup without putting the lid on. Press the button START (using thumb, press button firmly, keep your other hand behind the machine, behind the base). LISTEN AND FEEL THE BUTTON CLICK (it might take a firm push with your entire thumbprint to hear and feel the click). Let the machine cycle and empty all of the water from the reservoir. Toss the water that has flowed thru the maker. UNPLUG THE COFFEE MAKER! Let the maker cool for 5 minutes, opening the lid of the machine to let steam out. THEN, you can make your drinkable cup of coffee by filling the resevoir with water, put the coffee in the filter, PLUG IN, then press the START button. This procedure is for original set-up. This will work every time. Melitta filter size #1 is too small as a liner for the permanent filter. The coffee will still run over into the filter when brewing and cleaning it out will be as much trouble as without a filter. AND Melitta filters are about $3-4 bucks for 60. I am cheap, so I took a regular coffee filter (#2 or 3), fold in half, cut that size in half, then fold the cut side over twice, staple about 1 1/2" from top edge, then fold the pointed end up and over twice, then staple. This is clumsy, but it works. In general, follow these instructions for set-up and you have a quick and very good cup to go!!
