Product Description

The Kenmore 72085 oil-filled heater can save you money on your heating bill by adding warmth to the room you’re using, so you can turn down the household heat. As the oil inside the sealed heater heats up, it gently and quietly warms a room up to 150 square feet. Because the heater is sealed, you never have to refill the oil.

The rotary thermostat switch and three heat settings let you adjust the heat to the level you want. This Kenmore oil-filled heater comes with a safety tip-over protection switch and overheat protection device that automatically shuts off the heater so you don’t have to worry. The steel construction of this heater makes it durable, and with the built-in handle and all-direction casters, this radiator-style heater is easy to move from room to room.

  • Rotary thermostat switch for easy control
  • Built-in overheat protection device for safe home use
  • Steel construction
  • Built-in carry handle and all-direction casters for mobility
  • 3 heating settings
  • ETL listed
  • Safety tip-over protection switch

Nice heater, works well
We needed additional heat in a 10 x 10 bedroom for my son. I was looking for a safe heater that did not have exposed heating elements. The Kenmore radiant heater boost the room temperature 10 degrees on the low setting within an hour. The heater is well constructed and does not make noise like other style heaters. The heat is even and does not dry out the air.

Good heater, but noisy
I had a DeLonghi that looked just the same for several years. I loved it. It was quiet and kept the room nice and warm. When I thought that heater was probably getting too old, I bought this one from Sears. I heats almost as well, but it makes all kinds of pinging and creaking noises. I had been warned about ceramic heaters doing that, but not these. I think it's probably because these are made out of cheaper metal. It could be that the DeLonghi 's have changed by now too. But I'm going to look around because I use this as my only heat in my bedroom and the noise periodically wakes me up, even thru ear plugs...

Great for 10x15 room in basement

Don't like to use forced air vents in winter to heat our basement tv room. Bought this used off craigslist and it does a great job. I only use low setting and when when go down to watch tv at nite the room is nice and toasty.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

good for smaller rooms

Bought this to replace one that the dogs knocked over. It is smaller than I was expecting, when comparing it to the ones that we've had for several years. But it works perfectly in the bedroom. Room is 15x15 and the larger oil heater would cook us out of the room. But this smaller one is perfect for a bedroom, while the larger one got relocated to the living room. We prefer to use a few of these placed through the house during the winter instead of turning on the house heater. Much cheaper, when the light bill comes.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Didn't heat the space.

I bought this to warm a room in the basement, but it didn't work. Unfortunately I didn't find out until too late to take it back. Oh well...

I found this one in the local Sears store when all other department stores had already sent back similar stuff for seasonal reasons. Thanks to Sears I managed to heat up my room in those residual days from winter.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Solved Our Sun Room Problem

Our basement does not extend below our sun room, which only has a crawl space below it. So our sun room would get so cold in the winter, in spite of the space heater we bought from our electric company, that the sun room was unusable until we bought this Kenmore Radiator-Style Heater this past January (2014). Once we started using this new heater, we were able to enjoy our sun room throughout this bitterly cold winter. We followed the directions that came with the heater, and we have no problems of any kind with it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Very nice heater

I love radiator heaters much better than the ceramic fan blowing ones, I like the fact that even though you turn this heater off it will stay warm for a while vs. ceramic fan blowing heaters do not hold heat therefore your room does not stay warm for long. I use this heater in my bedroom and I stay toasty warm.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Do not Buy, waste of money

absolute waste, after a month of light usage, has this high pitched noise that it makes when both switches are on, and with one switch on it barely gives off any heat

Battles the cold

With electric bills so high this winter I needed an alternative to my heat pump. I've lowered my temperature to 64 and find the Kenmore heater very nicely heats my bedroom. I purchased a second heater for the living room but we haven't used that one yet. I may have to wait until next winter to use that one. I wish I had purchased them sooner.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

doesnt provide much warm

I am disappointed in the amount of heat this product provides. I only needed a small heater for a small 8 x 10 room in a very good insulated home. I intend to return the heater.
