Wow
Granted, we just received this, but the motor is very quiet, I could barely hear it in the next room. We own a older Eden Pure, and this actually seems better. It came with a remote, and is much quieter. Unit glows red when heating, blue when cooling. Do not know yet how it will heat a room, but could tell a difference after 5 minutes. Price was excellent, we are Reward members, plus found a $10 discount coupon on the internet. Shipping for us was NEXT DAY delivery! (Ohio).

Health hazard/ energy monster
When I first brought this home, I was happy. I bought it during the Black Friday sale for more than half off. It looked nice and it wasn't too noisy. However, and this is a big HOWEVER. I checked out of curiosity what my electric bill usage was running. My power company allows me to check online day to day. This little box heater uses a lot of electricity. I don't mean my bill went up just a little. It SKYROCKETED. It costs me about $5/day to have this thing run continuously... and yes, it must run continuously to maintain heat temperatures. I ran it for two weeks and then stopped for a day, then ran it again and stopped for verification. Like I said, it is an energy monster. I should have known since it states that you have to use a stand alone plug since it may blow a breaker. My other concern is a HEALTH concern. And I couldn't find any review that discusses what I am about to say: I was waking up in the middle of the night (it's in my room) with the worst dry mouth (almost painful) and also with the worst dry itchy skin that I have ever had. At first, I didn't know what attributed to this. As slow as I am, it took me a week to realize what changed in my life. It was this stupid heater. I verified this also because since I returned it to the store, the problems went away. I feel sorry for a baby or young child whose parent places this in their room. Children can't complain that the "infrared elements" dry the molecules in the room with a resultant factor of dehydration. They shouldn't even sell this thing.

SUPER WARM NOW!

I live in a 1920 something house where the attic was converted into two bedrooms and storage (I would say 700sqft area). It was not insulated properly, maybe not at all. We went from freezing to being toasty some nights too hot for blankets and keeping it at 68 all the time, I especially like the energy saving option on it and would buy another one in a heartbeat!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Ample heat

We use this to supplement the central heating system in our great room which is 30 by 17 and drafty. This works wonderfully. It heats up quickly and cools down quickly. We have left it on by accident when leaving the house with no problem. It is cool to touch as well and looks quite nice with our leather furniture. Would recommend!

So far, it's an over-achiever (but needs a timed shut-off)

I read many of the reviews here, and was surprised to read that for some other people this unit didn't heat rooms smaller than mine. I use this heater in a decent sized family room (about 20 X 24) and it does a fine job. My son even complained about being hot. Before buying, I was concerned that my room would be too large for this heater but even at the low heat setting it does a nice job of raising the temp in our normally cold room to a comfortable level. It's also nice looking & fairly quiet. The fan sound was another concern I had since it's sitting right next to our main TV, but I have to say when TV is on at normal volume; it covers up the low fan noise from the heater. One feature I really wish this heater had is a shut-off timer like most other heaters I've owned. Like most heaters, this unit cycles on & off to maintain the desired temp, and during the "off" cycle, there is no indication that the heater is "on", no lights, no sound, it appears like its shut off, but it's not.

Ok, but not really all that energy efficient.

I got this unit because I was wanting to lower my electric bill, but I find that I have to run this unit pretty much non stop in order for it to heat a room. If I do turn it off, it takes too long to re-heat the room. It does put out a decent amount of heat, just don't expect to heat a room quickly.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just the heater we needed

We bought the Heater during an extreme cold snap and our furnace wasn't able to keep our home warm enough. It was a huge help in keeping our large living room warm. We even put it in the bedroom over night and it kept our room nice and warm. I would highly recommend it. I
