I have the 19001 Embroidery machine and have tried many times to get additional Scancards and an updated sofeware program that would allow me to use it with Windows XP and finally ordered the Customizer cause it could be used with the XP and it came with a "Scan card" only to find that the adapter/sancard does NOT fit my 19001, it is for a 19010 and it also could not be used in my card reader/writer and so was of no value to me. I also have the PES2Card3-SE card reader/writer and the adaptor/sancard that came with the Customizer does not work with it either. I really like my machine, but I wish I had the ability to use all its features with my updated computer. A USB port connection for the card reader would be nice along with additional fonts software and a place to buy Scancards that fit.

I purchased my Kenmore Elite Ergo 3 three years ago and I absolutely love it. I purchased it during a promotion that Sears was running and basically for $1,700 it included the soft ware. Since then I have been waiting for any update for this software. For $200 it should come with more fonts and more features. I encourage everyone else to quit waiting on an update that will never come and ask your nearest Janome dealer about their software which also exports as a .JEF file.
I love my Kenmore Elite 19005 machine, given to me by my husband for Christmas. I ordered the Elite Customizer and I am very satisfied. My only regret is that you don't have a better selection of fonts to purchase. Please consider this in the future.
The customizer uses a sanDisk flashcard that can not be found in the market. If you need more than the one that comes with it, you are out of luck. The Kenmore 19005 will only accept the 128 mb card, so you will have a hard time finding the memory card for that anyway.
