Purchased this range by looking online. It is a nice looking range but I like it less everyday. The control panel sticks out about 4 inches and gets very dirty from any cooking splatter, bacon grease, sauces, etc. When you try to wipe down the panel it sets off all the touch pad buttons. First you have to wash it with soapy water (as oven, lights, self clean, warming oven, and timer all turn off and on) then try and polish with a paper towel with a cleaner on it. The cook top is not user friendly either. You have a bridge burner on the left that takes up 1/3 of stove top that would only have a horseshoe size flame for a regular pot or pan for the front and back burners if used for two separate pots. Next you have one regular burner in the middle, I like this one, except it's in the wrong place. Then you have a simmer burner on the back right which is quite useless in that it does not have a regular size flame. I do think I am smart enough to be able to turn a flame down to simmer. Now you have a turbo burner which is awesome! Boils water quickly but alas you have no room to cook anything else on your center regular flame. The grates are heavy and too high so a lot of the heat escapes. I'm told they do not sell ranges without simmer burners. Love the slide out oven rack and the oven seems to bake evenly and work well. I am returning this one....
I have been disappointed ovcerall. We have had this gas range for 3 weeks now and I wish I like it but there are a lot of problems with it. Installation was rushed and had the installers not been in a hurry to get to their next drop off we may have determined then that there was damage...but out they went without making sure the oven worked, forcing a damaged oven rack into the oven, and without leveling the range properly. So the first time I used the oven there was an overwhelming gas smell as the gas would pump out but the stove did not light promptly. Each time I tried to use the stove it would leak gas and shake the house when it finally lit. I am surprised the door didn't blow off. So I could not use it until the ignition was replaced as it did not heat up properly. Next...Leveling. The installers blamed the inability to level the range on my floor but after inspecting further we discovered the wheel housing on the back right wheel was bent, probably the range was dropped at some point which bent the wheel as well as damaged the delicate oven ignition. Last, the design of the stove is just not a good fit. This stove is very deep with the control panel sticking out on the front and the back of the stove extends out and bumps the gas line which obviously has to be there. The stove is out past the cabinets 4 inches at the front not including the door handle and the control panel. I have no idea how any one could make this stove fit reasonably well with standard cabinets on either side of it. The fan cooling system to keep the controls cool is annyoying, and you better have the burner covers on the bridge burner set perfectly or they rattle due to the vibration of the fan. For nearly $2700 I have tried to like this but I just don't. We haven't had this thing 30 days yet and I'm so disappointed we are calling to discuss exchanging this one for different brand...And don't get the matching Kenmore elite microwave either.

I cook every night, multiple meals (one for kids, one for us adults, occasionally another for another night). I'll have pots of water boiling (tip: get the water started on the big pot boiler, then move to the middle or back burner to keep boiling, thereby freeing the big burner for sauteeing or other uses). Despite having 3-4 burners on full-blast, plus the oven on, I've never noticed a decline in flame strength on any burner. The pot boiler is the nicest feature. Unlike other ranges that I've used that advertise similar (or even higher) BTU's, this one actually gets all those BTU's into your pot/pan. Other's that I've used have the grates too high (heat escapes to the sides of the pot/pan) or too low (not enough space for proper convection of the flame). This one is just right. For kicks, I did an experiment - with 3 gallons of room temp water (~75*) and a standard stainless/copper-sandwich-bottom 5-gallon pot, it takes between 5 and 6 minutes to get a boil! Furthermore, with a large wok to fully absorb the whole flame (you may need a new pan or 2 - the flame is roughly 8" across on full blast), I can brown 1" cubes of chicken without overcooking them (most ranges won't get the "brown" outside without overcooking the inside). The other burners work very well as advertised. The simmer burner can go low enough to where you can hold your hand 6" above it without getting burned. The middle burner is a great all-purpose burner. The grill burner does great for griddles or grilling (though, I do use a heavier-duty iron griddle/grill than came with it - it heats up more evenly and holds the heat better). Moreover, the grill can be used as 2 separate burners (front and back) to keep pots going or cook things in small-medium pans/pots. The oven . . . well, it's an oven. No complaints, but nothing special. It gets up to a certain temp, stays there, etc. Iv'e found no real "hot spots" or "cold spots". Things cook pretty much the same on the bottom as the top. I don't use convection that often, but the times I have, it works great. The broiler really does a number on things - be careful, it gets hot! One word of advice - clean the top after every meal. Not a thorough cleaning, just get the grease off. If you cook with old grease on there, it'll stick and stain (especially around the burners). Overall, it's a great range. Easily on par with the Wolf that I've used at another place (which costs $6000, BTW). Not only would I buy it again, I recommend it to other people and even invite them over to test it out before making a purchase!
No instruction manual was provided. I have never used a convection oven and I'd like to considering I paid more for this feature and I cannot always access a computer. I am 65yo and don't own one yet any question I have means I have to go to the library when it's open, otherwise I am out of luck. My biggest complaint is that I have never had a stove so difficult to clean. Using hot, soapy water & sponge or cloth then needing to rinse with water is the biggest waste of time then towel drying will leave what looks like grease marks anyhow so i need to repeat the entire process AND BUFF! for the control panel to look clean! and that is after cooking once! It's glass so why no windex?? Whether I cook or not, it shows fingermarks if you merely touch it or use the timer! If you are my age, you will find the grate on top of the stove very heavy and very awkward to clean in a normal size sink! I could go on and on but basically I wish I could return it and get my $2,500. back Should have bought a computer!
