I bought this washer in November 2013 and had a service repair come out within the 30 days. The water intake is LOUD and the vibration is RIDICULOUS?.my whole house vibrates! So the repairman checks it out and runs a few cycles. He says the basket ?may? be warped and although he heard the loud water intake and vibration, he says everything was running ?fine?. Hmmm? I took it back to Sears and got a brand new one. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem. I spoke to several sales associates at Sears and no one seems to know what the problem could be. I just read another comment on this machine and saw that the Sears sales people fail to advise that this machine is designed to operate on concrete flooring only and does not work properly on wood floors. This problem is noted in the operation manual that you can refer to only after you purchase the appliance and get it home. This information SHOULD be advertised with the appliance.
We were given the coordinating dryer, so had to get the washer to go along with it. I love it. The size is perfect for my family of three and it even handles comforters.
The water intake is so incredibly LOUD. The intermittent intake bangs on and off literally waking up sleeping children. Once that is complete the wash and spin cycle are relatively quiet but water intake is ridiculous. Who in engineering thought this was okay? Maybe you should have people who actually wash clothes in a family household on your design team. Now that it's installed in my home, I'm doomed for another 10 years. At least water is running into the machine. The installers stacked the machines, left and forgot to turn on the water. Sad.
This washer had far exceeded our expectations. It is quiet and has many options on it. It really saves a lot of water and energy. Our laundry tub used to fill to the top several times with our top loader. Now is fills up a couple of inches. The steam cycle will get your whites looking like new. I highly recommend this washer. You will love it.

This washer uses so little water. I can't wait to see the water bill. I want to see how much it has change. The washer is quite for the most part. At certain high speeds there is noise from the vibration. This Washer should definitely be on concrete. Other than that this is a Great washer. If you get the washer delivered don't have them installed it. I had to redo the installation. Don't get the hoses. The price they charge you should be recieving the metal jacket hoses.
I just got these delivered and the spin cycle is driving me crazy. Luckily someone posted about it requiring concrete flooring, which I do not have on the second floor. Called Sears and was told to purchase rubber feet. If that doesn't work, it will go back! Never had the crazy spin balance cycle issue with my old blue Samsung front loader, only reason we upgraded was because the dryer drum was coming loose at the seam making a thumping sound...the irony!!! We decided on Kenmore as a result of no one in Colorado Springs working on the brand Samsung. Not sure if I should've listen to the advise of repairmen. Also, the dispenser seems to always have water in it and is oddly configured.
We had to replace our washer and ordered this one on sale, I have run around a dozen loads through it, and I am loving it! The steam clean setting cleared up the slightly musty smell I've been battling with my towels (even bottles of vinegar added to my old washer still was just barely doing the trick) I love having the sanitize/steam setting for those rags used in the bathroom (ew!) or potty accidents (plentiful with 3 boys under 5). I have no idea what the other reviewer was talking about when they said the vibrating made them reinforce their floors (btw, all sub floor is 3/4" plywood. me= builder's wife) This machine is so quiet I can hardly hear it running-I have had to walk up to it and listen to make sure it's running. :) I ran a few full loads, but my dryer does not have that kind of capacity, so I'm stuck running smaller loads until my dryer gives up the ghost, cause I'm cheap like that ;) or until summertime when I may break out the clothesline :)

Washer motor and operation is quiet, the water inlet to the washer is much louder than out previous one. For day to day items the washer does a good job, extremely dirty greasy items need a second cycle. There are a few things we dont like about it. The soap dispensing unit is awkward to fill and often messy, the bleach holder is very small and allows for spills to easily happen, the dispenser is removeable to allow it to be filled out of the washer but it requires both hands to put it back in, one to hold it and the second to press the release down while puting it in. The washer has an external filter to allow for objects and debris to be baught before entering the evacuation pump, when pulling this filter out water runs out the front of the washer and down the fron onto the floor. This is a nice unit but for the price there are a few design issues that should have been fixed much earlier in the game.

This thing actually makes washing clothes somewhat fun. The reason is, it washes the clothes so darn well. I have never had my clothes come out smelling this good and looking this clean. I purchased this machine to replace my old Kenmore unit which was literally a 1980's model. My old Kenmore lasted so long with no issues I decided to get this one and I couldn't be happier! The steam cycles are great. I have a small child and the kids clothes setting blasts her clothes gently with steam to kill bacteria. Features like this are what make this washer really unique. To top it all off, it's super easy to use. If you're not real tech savvy, don't let that deter you from purchasing this unit. It really is as easy as the push of a button. It even tells you how much soap to put in by sensing the load size.
Sales people fails to advise that this machine is design to operate on concrete flooring only. It does not work properly on wood floors. The vibration from this machine when placed on a wood floor is unbelievable and the appliance walk across the room. After purchasing this appliance, we are having to build the sub floor with 3/4 " thick plywood or concrete blocker board as well as use a vibration pad in the wash room. This problem is noted in the operation manual that you can refer to only after you purchase the appliance and get it home. This information should be advertised with the appliance.
