Love the "Grab-Go" feature
The refrigerator keeps perfect temperature which was so easy to set. The french doors provide a panoramic view of the contents. The lighting is terrific. The supplemental 3rd door will enhance energy efficiency. We do not hear the unit operate. We are a family of 2 adults so I am not using the storage pantry as was suggested. ( no snacks or juice cartons) I have devised my own arrangement which works for our lifestyle perfectly. I have never had a freezer drawer but already I know that I will never go back to the side-by-side again. Everything is in view. Hats off to this design engineer!!!

Never again!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the most expensive AND worst fridge I've ever owned. The condiment section is poorly designed, the ice cubes keep blocking the shoot and the biggest problem of all is that it seems to be made for people who never have to clean their fridge. The slide in drawers have screwed in bottoms that take forever to clean if you happen to have anything spill in them. You have to remove the drawers and get your phillips head ready to access the base (where all the juices end up). I just spent over an hour trying to clean out the crisper and STILL couldn't get to a section where the plastic overlaps. For those times when meat thaws and spills or your child tips over juice the last thing you need is a fridge like this. For a fridge designed for families in mind this is terrible. I've stuck with Kenmore through the years but I'm so disappointed that this may be the last appliance I buy from them.

So far so good

It reached temp in just a few hours. Everything is working. Water pressure is good, Ice making is quick. It is quiet (even the ice machine in door is quiet compared to the one we had before). Lot's of room. The grab and go is not useful for milk or items that spoil if not kept cold enough - but it is great for soda, beer, wine. The instructions say butter is good in the grab and go, keeps it soft to spread, The refrig was so big it had to be brought in through our back yard sliding door - didn't fit through the front door. I had a side-by-side before - I hated it. This has so many options for storage and the shelves are easy to adjust, As for bending over to get things out of the freezer, I had to bend to get things in the side-by-side - and things would fall out on the floor. This freezer has 3 drawers and I'm finding it much easier to keep track of things. I only gave it 4 stars because I have only had it 3 days. If it keeps working this well it deserves 5 stars.

Enjoying it every day

(evaluated after 5 months use) Strengths Almost every feature is a strength. We really like this refrigerator?s performance; easy to keep orgnaized. The lighting is wonderful. The 3 freezer drawers are perfect. The shallow one is just right for hubby?s access to his favorites. A good feature that the lid over the deli drawer remains stationary when opened. And I can?t say enough good about the Grab-n-go door!!! What a terrific design notion. Consumer?s Report said that this feature does not compensate for the jump in price, but if you are patient & watch for Sears good sales, it is definitely worth what I paid at the Fall 25% appliance sale, with a 15% reduction for using their credit care. Weaknesses: R side veg drawer does not clear door enough to remove for cleaning. Ice cubes jam & do not readily dispense after not using for a day or so. They appear to have melted together at one edge of the dispenser. We found the lever on the water dispense to be slippery-bead of hot glue fixes.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

grab n go problems

There are so many things that you find out later... Cleaning is a challenge, It's not easy to get in and around the spaces to clean. You have to press the 'grab n go' door to make sure it is shut, you can't just let it go The left door, that has condiments on the inside, is heavy because of the ice maker, so if you let it go to shut, it slams shut. Guest have apologized because it sounds like they slammed it. The noise from the condiment bottles leaving the shelf and hitting together is loud. BUT the reason I am writing this.. is because after 10 MONTHS it is tripping the GFI receptacle. Replacing the receptacle didn't fix the problem. We plan to call SEARS repair tomorrow. This is the email I received. "We would like to assist you with your warranty question, please direct all inquiries to 1-800-827-6655. If you are needing repair, please contact us at 1-800-4MY-HOME and we will be happy to assist your service needs" I will update you on how it turns out Page

Best refrigerator I have owned

When we built our new house, the builder supplied GE Monogram appliances. We had a fairly new refrigerator so we passed on it. We decided a couple years later to replace our side by side because it was too small for entertaining. We shopped for weeks, looking at all options, including having a built in added to the kitchen. We chose this because of the grab&go door- I love it. I have had no problems, it is very user friendly, and looks terrific. Glad I passed on the GE fridge because I have had problems with the other appliances. I thought of Kenmore like Buick- something your parents might buy. Glad I gave Sears a chance.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Should of kept my old refrigerator!

I too bought this beautiful fridge in Jan. 2013..paid $500 more for the counter depth for a total of over $3000.!! Here I am first week of April 2013 because the error message came on twice yesterday! Now the water dispenser on door front leaks too! I am very disappointed! My old Kenmore fridge was 11 years old and never had a problem..I only bought this new one to match my kitchen! What a waste of money! Sears had to order the replacement part which wont be here for two weeks! I have to turn off the water to my fridge for two weeks which means no water and no ice..apparently this is a very common problem had I known I would of never bought this model!!

Beautiful!

I love everything about it, simple but classy, spacious, the 3 tier freezer, air tight crisper, adjustable shelves, led lights and of course the extra door that saves energy makes it an elite. Let's not forget the bottom freezer that can be opened wider for easier access which I've never seen before. I actually took pictures to show my co workers bec I'm so proud of it and that I got it from Sears my kind of a store.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Avoid this Fridge until issues are resolved.

We bought this fridge in Jan. of 2013. Worked GREAT until Mar. 15. Today was the first error code. The icemaker fan froze. I started doing research on this model and that code happens on nearly every single fridge they sell. There is no permanent fix and it is a costly repair that is recurring. Stay away from this fridge at all costs until they come up with a permanent fix or recall the thing. Poor Workmanship and craftsmanship from a very trusted name brand. I'm disappointed with this fridge and will not purchase a Kenmore Elite brand appliance again after this.

Wife had to have one!

This is a very nice unit however a problem with poor cold air circulation resulting in high levels of moisture in the freezer required a service call within the first month of ownership. The service tech had to order new redesigned parts to replace the poor original design that took over 4 weeks to get installed. Seems to be ok for no

best fridge I've had yet!

I viewed many fridges before landing this purchase. Read the reviews on all store lists and decided this was the one for us. We had a Kenmore side by side that wasn't that old, but liked the way this had a larger fridge space, and easy to use freezer. No noises yet, and it works as expected. It's only downfall is that the icemaker isn't as fast as the old fridge (we use that one outside in the summer) and also the cube size is smaller. But it does make ice well, and the door dispenser is better than the old one (we use to get lefover cubes fall out of the chute sometimes after using it...) The LED lights inside are very cool, and light up the fridge with their bllue/white color.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
