Love Kenmore
We have used Kenmore for years & our sales person was the best! We love the gas on top - we used to have electric which is so inefficient. This range cleans up very easily. We really like the cast iron top as opposed to the enamel. Looks great in our new remodeled kitchen.

great stove but.....

The top burner grates don't line up with the burners and can cause a problem with lighting the burner and the flame can be uneven. I was told that they would order new grates for the top. I did get them very quickly and put them on and the same thing. They didn't fit properly. I was then told that it was unfixable and there could be nothing done.

Unfixable and nothing can be done???? what the.....?

The worst problem is the oven cleaner.  Unfortunately I didn't try the oven cleaner until I had it over a year. The venting for the cleaner comes strait out the front above the oven door. So all the the smoke created by the cleaning process goes right into the kitchen and down the hall  and sets of all the smoke dectors and then my alarm company is alerted. (my old oven vented out along the back so it would get sucked out by the fan above)  I can't close of my kitchen because it is open to the hall (no door) I complained to Sears and they said that they couldn't do anything about it. I should have told them about it the first month or two. If only I had spilled something on it right after I got it. Damn

Because it has a hidden burner on the bottom you can't put anything on the bottom to keep it from getting dirty like and oven mat or foil

So to clean it I have to put a big fan in the hall pointing towards the kitchen open all the windows  and have another fan in front of the window sucking out the smoke. It still lets some smoke go down the hall and sets off the alarm. My whole house reaks of smoke for a few days.

I hate this oven/stove! Who designed this piece of s--t.

Ok so far

Only have had the range for one week and so far it is working fine. Apparently it wasn't easy to install and due to our floor being uneven we can't open the warming drawer. That doesn't bother me yet and eventually we plan on redoing the kitchen.

perfect

Was a bit concerned about some of the negative reviews. I called the tech support line and asked about the various issues people had. I was a bit skeptical when assured the problems had all been addressed - touch screen sensitivity, oven temp accuracy, installation issues. We've used it now for a couple of months and have had no issues with any of them (although we had a pro install it). If it keeps on keeping on, this stove is a great value and really nice looking in our kitchen..

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great gas cook top ** Small over capacity**

The range is 2 1/2 months old and Sears is coming to pick it up. IT IS BEING RETURNED.

I love the gas cook top. The layout and the bridge burner are wonderful. The cosmetics of the range are beautiful and I like the fact it over laps the counter top on the sides. It also comes with a filler plate for those putting the slide in range into a free standing spot like I did.

I am disappointed with the oven. Here is why: To small inside both front to back and top to bottom. It will not fit a family size Papa Murphy's pizza without squishing it up against either the convection fan or the glass door. (front to back issue) and in order to cook my 15lbs. turkey this thanksgiving, I had to remove all the oven racks except the lowest one where the turkey sat. I was unable to put anything else in the oven until after the turkey was removed ( top to bottom issue) and for those of you cooking turkeys, you know a 15 lbs butterball is not that big.

The oven temp is not accurate. The instruction manual states that if you are not satisfied with the temp. you can adjust it by 35 degrees and gives instructions.  Personally I do not have an oven thermometer to see how far off it is so that I can adjust it. I think sears should do that.

The bake element is hidden instead of exposed causing the oven to take an extremely long time to preheat and it does not maintain the temp. that is stated on the display.

I DECIDED TO RETURN THE RANGE because of the temp problem and the size issue. Even if I could have adjusted to oven temp to work properly, it is to small for my needs. For those of you that do not need the oven capacity and are willing to work on the temp issue it will make a great range. Again, I love the gas top. However, it is hard to clean to a streak free shine.

SEARS so far had been great about the 90 day guarantee and is picking up the range in a couple of days. We will see about the refund process. I will update as I go.

Love this Range !!

The range looks good, very stylish and sleek. Installation was not a problem as the previous customer had. Front right dual burner is great. Left side griddle burner is a feature not many gas stoves have. Lights are blue on control, need to ensure this matches other products in the kitchen if that matters to you. For the price, the griddle pan should be included - rather than an additional 100.00 charge.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Kenmore Elite 30" slide in dual fuel range

We just got this and have been using it only for a few days. Just like the other customer, the electric cord and gas line are issues and our stove sticks out 1/2" more than it should. A drawback is the sensitive control panel--it needs a button to press that locks it for cleaning (without locking the oven door). It gets soiled almost every time the stove is used and the touch keys are so sensitive they are activated when you clean the panel. Another drawback is the oven vents in front so it blows on you while you're cooking at the stove which is warm air. We love the electric oven as it browns rolls and bakes cookies perfectly. We like cooking on gas but like baking with electric. The burner control knobs are beautiful and easy to operate--very cool. The stove looks beautiful and has received unsolicited compliments from our guest. All in all, it's a great stove and I think we're going to be happy with it--nothing is perfect! We've owned a lot of Kenmore appliances and have been very happy with their performance and realiability.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Do Not Buy the Dual Fuel or similar model with digital controls

It has a defective control panel. Steer clear of model that have the same digital control panel. It will take days and many attempts to get it fixed.  Be prepared to spend lots of time away from your job to deal with the flaws or time on the 1-800 site to get it fixed.  I chose to buy a whole new stove line to stay away from this.  Now my appliances are mismatched but my stove at least works and I have my life back.  A fan stays on while baking.  I got a quiet dishwasher only to trade off with a noisy stove.

Overall
The Duel Fuel Range is an installation nighmare and noisy fan

We have had to move our oven and gas outlets twice to provide enough clearance for the range to slide in and we still have 1/2 inch sticking out.  The closed design of the back panel allows no clearance for the gas line or oven cord.  Even when resetting the gas line our plumber had to use extreme care not to kink the gas line as he slid the range back to the wall as there is not room for the line to coil under the stove. It still is stopped by hitting the oven plug from completely sliding back but we are calling it "good enough" as we would have to recess the plug into the wall to slide it completely in.

The second item is the cooling fan which is extremely noisy for the price.  It can be heard throughout the kitchen when it runs.  With our previous range we never knew the oven fan was running.unless you stood next to the oven a listened closely.

The cook top and oven perform as advertised and we like the flexibility of the burners.
