Product Description

Kenmore Elite 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - True Convection

The Kenmore Elite single electric wall oven 4809 features a 4.2 cu. ft. capacity self-cleaning convection oven with a hidden bake element for increased capacity and easy cleanup. A hidden third heating element and internal fan prevent temperature instabilities, ensuring food is baked evenly, while a smooth cover hides the cooking element, making cleanup simple. The Temperature Probe signals the oven to turn off once the desired internal cooking temperature is reached. With the Kenmore Elite 30" Electric Self-Clean Single Wall Oven, cooking is made easy.

  • True Convection combines a powerful fan with a hidden heating element to spread heat evenly, helping bake, brown and crisp everything from turkeys and roasts to brownies and pies.
  • From keeping a stack of pizzas toasty to cooking Thanksgiving dinner, this Kenmore delivers plenty of room, so you can load it up and enjoy hot, delicious meals, treats and more.
  • The Convenient Temperature Probe produces perfect doneness every time by automatically turning off once your turkey or roast reaches precisely the right interior temperature.
  • With the push of a button, the total wall oven lockout feature secures controls and prevents temperature tampering, especially from the smallest fingers in the house.
  • A convenient control panel puts more oven settings at your fingertips, ensuring you choose the right cooking options with easy-to-use one touch selections.
  • With a long-lasting finish that's less likely to tarnish or discolor than others, porcelain-coated oven racks keep foods from sticking and make cleanup fast.
  • The Self-cleaning function conveniently cleans the oven's interior using high temperatures to burn spills, soil and soot away without a bit of scrubbing.

Kenmore oven
we have only had the Kenmore oven ( item # 02248093000P ) a few weeks but it has proved to be of high quality and a reliable product. Installation was easy as we did it ourselves.

Disappointed
We've had our version of this for approx. 4 years and the bottom heating element is already out.. $460 repair.. it also melts foil on the bottom of the oven, which seems to be common in this oven based on my internet research.. when I called sears, they asked if I bought the extended warranty.. really an oven melts foil???? poor design and I'm tired of buying major appliances that dont' last more than 5 years without major problems.

LOVE IT!!

I purchased the wall oven and the Elite Range. I use the wall oven more often than I thought. There is a lot of space! It stays cooler than the range and keeps the house cooler the cooling fan runs keeping the entire kitchen cooler. The only feature I wish it had was air guard like the range. The meat probe is great and works wonderful! I have used it to bake, convection bake, the meat probe and convection roast! It has so many features and I love them all!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Superb Oven!!

So far this is the best oven we've owned! Original oven went out several months ago, but even though we were reimbursed with warranty coverage immediately, glad we waited for the Sears sale period. The oven replaced the GE with many more features and much better appearance. The convection option works more quietly than anticipated.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

As Promised

We recently purchased this 30" Elite oven and the Elite combination microwave and convection oven along with the Elite cook top on my neighbors recommendation. We are currently very pleasantly surprised with the quality and ease to use. We are so impressed that we are going to add an Elite French door Refrigerator and the Elite Dish washer in the next couple of days. At Christmas my wife bakes cookies for 40+ familys, wow this year with our three Elite convection ovens, she will complete her baking in 1 day, instead of 3. Gary

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Lots of Features

I bought this oven to replace a 30 year old Whirlpool oven. I wanted an oven with convection baking so I could bake more than one pan at a time. I love this feature. I love the delay start feature, the lights, I could just go on and on. I'm still learning to use it all but enjoying my new oven. I've had 2 family get togethers since buying this oven just so I can bake and cook 2 or 3 things at a time. Love it. Hope it last as long as my old whirlpool.

Overall
Seems to be very nice replacement for our old Whirlpool oven.

This oven should use somewhat less energy to cook the same foods as our 25 year old Whirlpool for which most parts are no longer available. So far it has worked as it was advertised to perform. Time will tell if it lasts as long as the Whirlpool it replaced. The Whirlpool was built with very good quality as it never needed any service other than a new gasket for the glass in the door in 25 years of service. Time will tell if Kenmore Elite products perform as well.
