Product Description

Kenmore Elite 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - True Convection

The Kenmore Elite single electric wall oven 4808 features a 4.2 cu. ft. capacity self-cleaning convection oven with a hidden bake element for increased capacity and easy cleanup. A hidden third heating element and internal fan prevent temperature instabilities, ensuring food is baked evenly, while a smooth cover hides the cooking element, making cleanup simple. The Temperature Probe signals the oven to turn off once the desired internal cooking temperature is reached. With the Kenmore Elite 30" Electric Self-Clean Single Wall Oven, cooking is made easy.

  • True Convection combines a powerful fan with a hidden heating element to spread heat evenly, helping bake, brown and crisp everything from turkeys and roasts to brownies and pies.
  • From keeping a stack of pizzas toasty to cooking Thanksgiving dinner, this Kenmore delivers plenty of room, so you can load it up and enjoy hot, delicious meals, treats and more.
  • The Convenient Temperature Probe produces perfect doneness every time by automatically turning off once your turkey or roast reaches precisely the right interior temperature.
  • With the push of a button, the total wall oven lockout feature secures controls and prevents temperature tampering, especially from the smallest fingers in the house.
  • A convenient control panel puts more oven settings at your fingertips, ensuring you choose the right cooking options with easy-to-use one touch selections.
  • With a long-lasting finish that's less likely to tarnish or discolor than others, porcelain-coated oven racks keep foods from sticking and make cleanup fast.
  • The Self-cleaning function conveniently cleans the oven's interior using high temperatures to burn spills, soil and soot away without a bit of scrubbing.

The Kenmore Elite Wall Oven is just what we expected!

We were replacing a 16 yr old GE that had worked very well for us but had started giving us some trouble and we didn't want to spend much on repairs on such a old unit. We had recently purchased a Kenmore Elite Dishwasher and had been very pleased with it so we decided to look at Kenmore ovens. We thought this unit was a little pricy but by comparison it was about the same as other major brands. We were a little concerned about the noise level of the convection cooking but it's not been a problem at all. The only noise is from the fan cooling the unit after it has been turned off. So far, we are very pleased with this wall oven and we will soon be replacing a GE cooktop with a Kenmore unit. (Nothing against GE!)

There was a slight problem with the installation; the opening was a little to wide and the installer had to add some spacers on each side but he did a wonderful job and any outsider wouldn't know it was done. You do have to make sure you have enough debth to install this unit as it might cause some noise problems if you don't have enough opening behind the unit.

We currently have a family of 6 using this oven and is used almost daily and everything has been cooked just as we expected it to be.

WHAT IS THAT NOISE?????
Absolutely beautiful....classy, stylish....but the second you turn it on, it sounds terrible! There is supposedly a "blower" in the top of the oven that runs from the instant you turn it on until AFTER you turn it off to keep it "cool" says the manual. How awful to have a house full of guests and have them trying to talk over this blower!!! I'm calling Sears in the morning and having a technician come out and see if this is normal, or if there is just some little thing wrong with mine! If this is the way it's gonna be.....it's goin' back!!!!

Review: Kenmore Elite 30" Electric Self-Clean Single Wall Oven - Black

Purchased this Kenmore Elite 30" Electric Self-Clean Single Wall Oven in Black just last month. So far, i can say that it has an elegant, clean look, it functions as expected, and the thermostat seems about right. (My last oven was 50 degrees too hot, requiring constant adjustment,. especially for baked goods!) Recommended!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Exactly what we were looking for

We had an older (18 yr) oven that was starting to go south. Sears had some good deals on wall ovens at the time (as competitive as most places) so we decided to give them our business. This oven has met every expectation so far. It is far quieter than the previous oven, and it does a fantastic job cooking. The meat probe works as expected (cooked a 6 lb pork shoulder just fine), and the huge glass window is a tremendous improvement over the old oven. I've only had it a week, but so far I am quite happy with my choice. My one word of advice: wait for a good sale.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Love this oven

So far my experience with the convection Kenmore oven has been awesome. The items I have baked have been evenly baked, at a lower temperature and less time. I can't imagine ever going back to the regular oven.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cooks fast. Great wall oven.

Convection is awesome. Cooks evenly and fast and is a breeze to use. Updated styling and design quality is impecable.

So far I've been unable to get the meat thermometer to function both times I've attempted to use it. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. But it seems like it should be a simple function. Just beeps with error anytime I plug it in.  Also the clock is very difficult to read. It is blurry from a distance due to the glass overlay. I had a service tech come out and he replaced the control board to no avail.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
