Kenmore Elite 30" Electric Double Wall Oven - Easy Cooking

The sleek design and consistent heating of the Kenmore Elite 30" electric double wall oven 4819 makes it a smart addition to any kitchen. Its twin ovens each contain 4.2 cu. ft. of space, so they can hold multiple dishes at a time. Hidden heating elements and dual fans make sure temperatures inside the ovens never fluctuate, so your food is cooked evenly every time. For consistently perfect cooking rates in both ovens, stick the convenient Temperature Probe in the heart of your turkey or other dish — once it rises to your chosen temperature, the oven shuts off automatically.

  • True Dual Convection uses two convection fans and a third hidden heating element to cook evenly baked meals up to 44% faster than Kenmore ovens without convection
  • The Convenient Temperature Probe produces perfect doneness every time by automatically turning off once your turkey or roast reaches precisely the right interior temperature
  • From keeping a stack of pizzas toasty to cooking Thanksgiving dinner, this Kenmore delivers plenty of room, so you can load it up and enjoy hot, delicious meals, treats and more
  • With the push of a button, the total wall oven lockout feature secures controls and prevents temperature tampering, especially from the smallest fingers in the house
  • A convenient control panel puts more oven settings at your fingertips, ensuring you choose the right cooking options with easy-to-use one touch selections
  • With a long-lasting finish that's less likely to tarnish or discolor than others, porcelain-coated oven racks keep foods from sticking and make cleanup fast
  • Kenmore Airguard™ Technology helps eliminate self-cleaning odors and smoke 85% more effectively than Kenmore ovens without it, so you can breathe easy
  • The Variable Self Clean feature lets you choose the cleaning time from 2 to 4 hours, so you can save time and energy when the oven only needs a quick touch-up

Overall, we are very satisfied

We installed this double wall oven three weeks ago. Thus far, we are very satisfied with its looks and functionality. The features are easy to use and well laid out. Temperatures are consistent and cooking is very even. The broiler is wonderful. One quibble: preheating takes longer than we were used to with our previous gas oven (it takes about 12 minutes to reach 350 degrees). We love the ability to use the second oven as a "warming drawer" when we don't need it for cooking. Overall, we are very happy with our choice. We know that double ovens can have problems down the road so we will try to give an update later.

Kenmore Elite Double Wall Oven
This wall oven has broken three times in the last two years. It has been a heating problem each time. I would not recommend this unit.

Do Not Buy This Double Oven

I had a 15 year old double ovens that was a Kenmore. I have always had Kenmore Appliances! My 15 year old double oven was old and white and we were remodeling the kitchen and I wanted to switch to Stainless Appliances. Well I was so excited to buy these two new wall ovens. They have not worked together properly. One shorts out the other on occasion. I had an electrician out and they could not find anything wrong. The cleaning feature causes such a horrible odor that I have to open windows and doors to get rid of the smell in my house. I can not cook on regular bake, the cooking time is double the time of my older ovens. If I don't ALWAYS use convection nothing gets cooked. The inside of the oven does not clean well during the cleaning cycle. I am miserable with these ovens and will not buy another Kenmore product because of this.

Works like a precision watch!

This oven has so many great features built in that it becomes mind boggling and I doubt very much that I will use most of them. However, If you love baking pies, cakes, etc this oven is for you. I do suggest if you buy this oven READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you turn it on!!!!!!! You need to understand the functions to get the best results. If that's asking too much then buy a toaster oven.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Buyer's Remorse

I bought this oven due to high ratings and because both upper and lower ovens were convection. From the beginning I've had problems. The bottom oven makes a terrible vibrating noise when on convection. Repairman said it was behind the oven and couldn't fix it. When run through the self cleaning cycle the top oven trips the switch and then won't work. Had the repairman out twice to reset the oven. He said I would have to cut a hole in the bottom of my cabinet to vent the ovens. The sides of the oven where the racks slide in and out are spalled (the ceramic coating has chipped off), so the racks don't move smoothly. I've thrown out 4 cakes and one pie this week because they got burned on one side. I think I had a lemon from the beginning, but Sears was of no help.

Kenmore Elite Elite Double Wall Over

We have recently purchased this oven to replace a 30 year old singe Whirlpool oven. Yes, the installation of this oven caused us to have to do cabinet work, but we had the room and are pleased we changed to the double oven. I am still learning all the different things it can do, but the most important - it does not heat up the kitchen! The warming feature is AWESOME and really helps with our busy schedule. Yes, I would recommend the Kenmore brand to anyone. Our sales person was someone I have known since the first day of first grade, so I knew she knew what she was selling me. She put me on the right track to buy the perfect new oven for our 50 year old home. Thanks Virginia Hernandez DeLeon.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

This Kenmore Elite double ovens is for serious baking sprees.

Finally room to cook large batches of cookies or bread.  I love to mix up triple (or more) batches of cookies or double batches of bread at once.  I don't like taking all day to bake all the cookie dough or bread.  With these double ovens I can be done baking in short order.  The ovens bake evenly even with all shelves being used.  I love the convenience of the convection feature also.  The hidden element makes cleanup quick and easy. The lights inside the ovens actually illumenant well so everything is easy to check on. Even baking and doesn't dry food out.  I couldn't be happier.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Kenmore Elite leads the way, BEST Double oven!!

We purchased this double oven about 6 months ago. It bakes like a champ, we love the convection conversion and the pre sets for the cakes and breads. We do have 1 problem, that is the top oven has a vibration/humb to it everytime we use it...something to do with the fan/convection part. The bottom oven does not do this. We had a tech out last week, but it was not exactly a knowledable technician. He left and didn't even put all the screws back in the oven to hold the oven and control panel. So keep a close eye on the technicians....We have an apointment for another technician...hopefully this can be soved, as the humming.vibration is annoying in a brand new 3000 dollar oven.!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
