Kenmore Elite 27" Single Electric Wall Oven - Precision Cooking

The Kenmore Elite single electric wall oven cooks meals evenly every time. That's due to two essential components in the 27" single electric wall oven: a hidden third heating element and fan. Together, they create True Convection, which quickly cooks dishes thoroughly without over cooking. The oven boasts 3.5 cu. ft. of space, letting you conveniently heat more than one dish at a time, perfect for those large holiday meals. The digital LED read-out is easy to read and set so you'll never accidentally cook at the wrong temperature.

  • True Convection combines a powerful fan with a hidden heating element to spread heat evenly, helping bake, brown and crisp everything from turkeys and roasts to brownies and pies.
  • From keeping a stack of pizzas toasty to cooking Thanksgiving dinner, this Kenmore delivers plenty of room, so you can load it up and enjoy hot, delicious meals, treats and more.
  • The Convenient Temperature Probe produces perfect doneness every time by automatically turning off once your turkey or roast reaches precisely the right interior temperature.
  • With the push of a button, the total wall oven lockout feature secures controls and prevents temperature tampering, especially from the smallest fingers in the house.
  • A convenient control panel puts more oven settings at your fingertips, ensuring you choose the right cooking options with easy-to-use one touch selections.
  • With a long-lasting finish that's less likely to tarnish or discolor than others, porcelain-coated oven racks keep foods from sticking and make cleanup fast.
  • The Self-cleaning function conveniently cleans the oven's interior using high temperatures to burn spills, soil and soot away without a bit of scrubbing.

The Kenmore Elite 27 inch self-clean electric oven, Model 4807.

This electric oven is much more effiecient then are last oven.  The insulation and isolation spacers reduces the heat loss.  The oven elements do not cycle on as much.  Are last oven use to put a lot more hot air into the room.  The cooling fan is much quiter and runs longer after the oven shuts off.  The oven actualy cools down to below 200 deg. F, before the cooling fan shuts off.  I do need to bump up the set temperature by five degrees, but this is programable.  I will probably cook a few more items using an internal thermostate, before I reprogram the oven thermostate.

The Kenmore Elite wall oven

I own this oven am quite distraught over the fact I can't use the clean mode because it trips an inline fuse and requires an appliance repairman to fix it.  Why would Sears sell an oven with a clean mode that does not work?  I like everything about the oven, but had the salesman told me the flex-clean mode cannot be used because the fuse is not right, I would not have purchased an oven that has to be manually cleaned. What was Sears thinking?  I feel ripped off.

I asked the repairman if he could replace the fuse with one that could take the high heat of cleaning and he said he is not allowed to change anything.  He said his only suggestion is not to use the clean mode.  So, I have an oven that does not work as advertised.  Really bad, Sears...

Good value for the space

We had limited space but wanted a convection oven. Installers were on time, local and did a great job. We have used it about a month mainly for cookies/breads/pies and are happy. Heats very fast- up to 350 in about 8 min. The fan noise is about as loud as the furnace and will stop running within 10-15 min of turning it off- faster if the door is cracked. Definitely as bad as some of the reviews suggest. It does smell horrid the first time through- we ran it an hour and the scent is gone. Only issue so far is the cookie sheets have to turn lengthwise else they hit the fan in the back- but hey I can get three sheets in at a time now. Good quality, sleek design that blended in my mid 80s all built in kitchen and no performance issues yet.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Favorite feature stopped working...

I've owned this oven for just over 2 years now. It is a smaller oven which I knew from the beginning but the space in our built in only allowed us to get a 27 inch oven. I love to cook and bake and so far this oven has been sufficient. The only reason I took off 2 starts is because after the last time I ran the clean cycle, my meat probe stopped working. The oven no longer acknowledges when I plug it in. I used to use the meat probe frequently so this is a big let down for me.

Great Oven

My only issue is that it does not heat up as quickly as my old oven, but other than that it is amazing.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The Kenmore Elite 27" single wall oven is great!

I bought this oven to replace an existing wall oven that had had it's time. The kenmore went in the old opening with no modifications and looks great! No knobs to hang up on things. Readout is easy to read and simple to operate. The porcelin racks can be left in the oven when it is self-cleaning. One of the better additions to our home.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Kenmore Elite 27" Convection wall oven - love it! sorta

Our 40 year old 26" GE wall oven bake element fried. This was the second time so we thought it was time to get a new oven. We purchased the Kenmore Elite 27" true convection wall oven. I was slightly concerned about some reviews I had read where people complained about the noise of the fan. we have never had a convection before. The fan on this unit does not make very much noise at all. you can hear it but you need to be next to it. The stove top fan makes much more noise than that, infact, turning on the kitchen sink faucet makes more noise then the fan on this unit. I was able to bake 3 family size pizzas at one time in this convct oven. How cool is that! they turned out pretty good too! we are excited and experimenting with the Convection vs Bake to figure out how it works best. it is beautiful! love the lights!

Downfall? Inside it measures smaller than our old oven. I lost an inch in dept due to the Convection fan in the back and 1/2 inch in width. Hate that, but the good thing is that the installer didn't have to cut anything from the wall cabnet it fit in perfectly, like it was made for it. loved that!

So far we are very happy with this oven. Yes it is smaller inside but as I said I was able to cook 3 family size pizza's at one time in the oven on Convection setting. They were not burnt, dry or raw. All three cooked aceptably well. everyone loved the pizzas. in the old oven I would have had to cook them all individually.

Kenmore Elite 27" True Convection Oven. Love it!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The Kenmore Elite Wall Oven is too noisy!

I bought this to upgrade my kitchen. The one I replaced also had a fan that ran most of the time the oven was on and for a long time after til the oven cooled off. This has the same set-up, but the fan is way too loud. I asked at the Sears store if this was normal and they blew me off like I was a nut. We like to watch TV while we eat dinner and now we have to blast the volume to hear it over this oven. If I bake for 30 minutes it takes at least 30 minutes after for the fan to stop. That's 1 hour of listening to this annoyingly loud noise.

Kenmore Elite Wall Oven---Disappointing

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Convection Wall Oven to replace a 26 year old oven that is 75 degrees off and has a non functioning clock and timer. The purchase was made 13 days before Thanksgiving.  The Kenmore has a lot of attractive features if they worked. The oven was installed by Sears today. The installers set the oven to 450 degrees and told us to leave it on for 45 minutes to burn off the new smell which was awful.  However, after 30 minutes, the oven displayed an error code.  It doesn't work at 450 degrees.  When we tried the oven lock option, that didn't work either and displayed an error code.  We didn't try the self clean. Since it locks the door and uses above 450 degrees, I doubt that it will work.  We called Sears right away and were told that someone would come out and look at it in 10 days which will be after Thanksgiving.  I would have been better off keeping the old oven.  I had high hopes but ended up with a  disappointing product and a disappointing experience.
