Great quality refrigerator
We bought this fridge a year ago and still absolutely love it. We were attracted to the french door design, the bottom freezer and that this was one of the FEW french door refrigerators with a smart ice maker design. Most have an ice maker that takes up a huge portion of valuable space and this one does not. We use the shelves in front of the ice maker for pop and beer. We have four little kids and nothing has broken. I was surprised to see reviews saying theirs broke easily. Honestly, our kids break everything and even dented the bottom of the freezer by running toys into it hard, but nothing else has been faulty. With kids, we LOVE the lockout feature so they don't run water and ice all over the floor. We also love the door alarm that tells us when one of them left the door open! Without it I'm sure we would have lost food by now. Someone lowered their review for lack of space for milk(?). The right door has a perfect space for it! It holds two gallons! Or a gallon and a 2-liter bottle. If you are using more ice than the ice maker can keep up, here are two tips...Empty the ice maker into the bin in the freezer to stock up on ice. Use the UltraIce button to freeze ice faster. We have parties and use the ice all the time. With a little common sense, we never run out. I am a stay-at-home mom and my kids and I use the ice/water feature daily without ever an issue.

Not very well made, and even worse service!
We bought this fridge when they were offering it with two freezer drawers. We were in love with it - it's totally cool and whisper quiet! The Ice maker stopped working after 13 months (12 month warranty). The compressor stopped working after 2 1/2 years (it was still under warranty). They replaced it with a compressor that was so loud that we can hear it across the house with the TV on! Now - 6 months later they have been unable deliver a replacement compressor that is new - the three that they have sent us were repackaged, bent, and scratched up - obviously rejected by some other customer. Sears does not stand by their products, and LG (who makes the replacement parts) is shipping parts as new that clearly aren't new! We still love the fridge, we just expect to get the performance that we paid (a lot!) for - so far we have not gotten that. Buyer beware!

in the process of getting a new one

They day after we got the refrigerator, I noticed that one of the doors was slamming shut. We called the repair people, and they came out and said it might be because our floor wasn't level. I've never heard of such a thing, and they said they would bring another one out to see if that was the case. A few days later they brought another fridge to us, but we didn't take it because the compartment glass was shattered. We still have original one, and the icemaker door still slams shut. They are going to call us when they get a another new one.

So pleased!

My other kitchen appliances are in the bisque color. My choices for a match were limited - especially with the specs. I wanted. I considered this refrigerator a long time before I finally purchased it - after all, it is QUITE an investment! I couldn't be happier with it! As a senior, the arrangement of refrigerated items on the top, more at eye level, is wonderful. We have been delighted to rearrange the shelving configuration to fit our needs and desires to a tee. The in-door ice maker makes more than enough ice for the two of us. The sliding drawers in the bottom freezer make viewing and getting items out quick and easy. The wide center drawer with its own temperature control is proving to be a very nice feature, too. The motor is so quiet in comparison to my 10 yr. old side-by-side. I think it's going to be a lot more energy-saving, too. Fingers are crossed that it will last a long, long time. I was very happy to be able to work so easily with the personnel at my local Sears store. They were very helpful. They knew their 'stuff!' The delivery was very smooth and accommodating, as well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

love it. read this review! !!

Had it for almost a year. Did have a problem with the ice maker. The fan would freeze up on it and wouldn't work for a day or two. They came in and replaced the whole board that's it's on...This one with a little heater deal to keep the fan from freezing. Never a problem since. There is only a few components on these that can go out in reality. Well worth the money, we use the ice maker several times a day...my wife likes to eat ice that's why I bought it for her. I've read all the reviews and think that a lot of the problem might be human error for the simple fact we have three children 13 and under and still haven't had any other issues. Plus it's freaking huge inside. Remember to measure your door to before you buy this its really wide and deep. I would have giver a 5 star if it wasn't for the repair, witch was free by the way!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Horrible Product

I purchased this refrigerator and was so excited to finally have a new one after almost fifty years. I selected Sears because I thought the products would be dependable and the service would be top notch. I have already had four service calls (well, actually eight because they have to come out to diagnose the problem, then wait to order parts and return to install) The product is not dependable. Once again this morning, I have gone to the kitchen to find the ice maker has quit working, there is frost collected on the back of it, ice is melting, and water is dripping on my hardwood floor. This is the FIFTH time in 14 months I have had problems with this refrigerator, it is obviously junk and I am so very disappointed. If you purchase an appliance, you better be sure to plan to spend the extra money for a service agreement because you are going to need it!

Don't fall for the positive reviews!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Now I know why the salesman pushed the extended warranty so hard....I should have taken that clue!!! I bought this refrigerator in July, and I now have everything in coolers since the fridge has stopped working. It stopped cooling over a month ago. It took 2 weeks to schedule a repair appointment. The repair man arrived and stated that the unit is leaking Freon but he couldn't determine where without ordering a part. How much sense does that make? He scheduled a follow up appointment - another two weeks away. The part arrived the next day, but we still had to wait for the appointment. When the second repairman arrived, he still could not determine the source of the leak, so he refilled the Freon, scheduled yet another appointment two weeks out. The unit cooled for one day, and then apparently all the Freon leaked out again, ice melted, water everywhere and food spoiled. It is now running at 55 degrees....not cool enough for anything! So, I'm living out of coolers after paying $2000 for a refrigerator only 7 short months ago. Customer service has been totally unresponsive. Terrible product, terrible repair, terrible customer service. Don't buy it...I wish I hadn't!!!

so far so good

Only had a few weeks, but love the color (we really wanted to have a bisque frig and not too many people make those anymore), love the french doors. Adjustable shelving and lighting inside is nice. Nice to have an ice maker/water dispenser that works (old frig broke years ago). Wide Deli drawer nice too. Freezer space is smaller than the old side by side, but we can survive as we have a small chest freezer elsewhere.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
