Replaced a side-by-side which had NO interior space, food was constantly spoiled, NO room in the freezer side. This super refrigerator fits in that dinky little space we had, but I'd say gives me 1/3 more interior space for food and in the freezer. I didn't realize just how awful my side-by-side was until I bought this refrigerator! Now, my food (including leftovers, fruits and veggies) stays fresh for weeks. There is sooooo much room in the "coldcut/cheese, etc" drawer...it is usually half-empty. Bottles have plenty of head room and I can put a pizza box on the shelf. I no longer have to squat down for a vegetable drawer, and the ice maker is superb...only issue is once in a while, I have to easily open up the latch and give the ice container a "pat" to knock down a few that may have gotten stuck together (only happened twice in about six months that we've had it - no big deal). Mine runs VERY quietly compared to the old one. Being a French door refrigerator, I only need to open the right side of the top half to get milk or liquids which I set up on the shelves on that side...that means I only open an area 50% smaller or less than before when I get those things that we reach for all day long. I believe that helps maintain a good temperature and seals in the freshness, incidentally, using so much less electricity, rather than opening up a good sized door that ran the full height of the old refrigerator just to access a drink each time. I looked at similar French-door refrigerators for years, but could never buy one because they were 1/2" or more too tall/wide for my space in order to get one with a larger interior space than I had in my side-by-side. This one had only been out according to the salesperson for about 6 months when I eyeballed it and thought "that looks like it would fit". My ONLY complaint about the fridge is that they've stopped making the black outside box sides which would have made it "perfection." I have a black countertop that meets with that one side and I detest the grey...It now has the family pictures, calendar and magnets that were on the front of my old fridge which covers up about 75% of the grey. I've been told that there are appliance paints which would take care of that problem, and I know I could purchase a stainless steel film to go over it, but I haven't had time to do either yet. If Kenmore is listening....Bring Back the Black! Of course, it would be too late for me since I anticipate this fridge lasting for decades! I can't believe I'm so "moved to write a review...I don't usually." I think if you buy it, you too will LOVE it! Enjoy!

Unsanitary
I enjoyed my refrigerator until the first time I tried to clean it. If you care about cleanliness, this is not the frig for you. There is no possible way to clean between the parts in the meat drawer. The expert says you can pry them apart with difficulty. I am afraid I would be buying a whole new drawer. Very disgusting, when vegetable, or meat juice goes between the two plastics. Besides, when you clean the vegetable bins you have to take them apart with a screw driver. Very time consuming, and irritating. Have never had a frig with this problem before.

Beautiful refrigerator

I bought this item about 7 months ago and have had no problems with it. I like it as much today as the day I bought it. I needed a slim fridge due to narrow space and didn't want to settle. I am glad I didn't have to and haven't had any problems with it. I recommend it highly and everyone who sees it like it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Love it

We have had this refridgerator since Nov 2013. Love everything about it. Had a side by side and wanted the water and ice in the door. Granted the ice maker is smaller, but that has not been a problem, just make extra ice if needed. I can't believe how roomy it is. Never thought I could have that much space, with the limited area we have.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Perfect Refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator a little over 6 months ago. We have not had one single problem with it. We love it. The adjustable shelving works out perfectly for us. The Crisper keeps are vegetable fresher longer. The Temperature Controlled Pantry Drawer is great for keeping cheese, lunch meats, and other items fresh. We especially like the pull out bottom freezer drawer with the top shelf that slides out of the way. We are able to keep full of frozen meats and other items and keep well organized at the same time. The ice maker makes plenty of ice for our hot 100+ degree summer days. It is a good middle-of-the-road model. Not a cheep bottom line model and not a ridiculously expensive one either.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Kenmore Elite - Nice Appliances

We needed a fridge that fit in a narrower space 33". But still wanted to have an updated look. Finding this Kenmore Elite 25 cu. ft. French door fridge was just the right fit for us.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Repaired twice in first 6 months

This fridge is beautiful and spacious, but it keeps breaking. The electrical panel burned out after only 1 day in my home, and Sears replaced the entire fridge rather than repair it. Then, the ice maker broke after 6 month in my home. Also, everything freezes in the fridge portion. The entire gallon of milk is frozen, all of my veggies in the drawers are frozen solid, and ruined. Sears replaced the ice maker at no cost since it is still under warranty, and they hope that the broken ice maker was the reason everything was freezing, but everything has been freezing since day 1. Sears repair service has been wonderful to work with, but what am I going to do in 5 months when the warranty runs out? I just paid $280 for a 2 year extended warranty, so that will get me to the 3 year mark, but so much for Kenmore brand running forever like it used to. I feel like I was ripped off. I paid nearly $3,000 for a brand name with a reputation for lasting forever, and i got a piece of junk that keeps breaking.
