works quite well and very quiet. like the display in front that lets me know where it is in the cycle. the only thing that i would add is a 3rd tray at the top for flatware like bosch and kitchenaid dishwasher. otherwise, very nice

First, as most of the other reviews mention the dishwasher does a great job cleaning the dishes. If you put oatmeal bowls in the turbo wash zone they will come out clean (yep- I tried it, my kids have a nasty habit of leaving dried oatmeal on bowls). Now to the design flaws, first the top rack has adjusters. If you have the top rack to the lowest adjustment you can't have normal size dinner plates on the bottom rack. If you put it on the top adjustment the rack slides out once a couple of cups are added. I read other reviews about the top rack sliding out and I thought it was the reviewer didn't have there dishwasher level. That isn't the case the reason the top rack slides out is because the adjustment is in the back, so the minute you start adding dishes, the top rack sags just enough that is rolls right out! The bottom rack comes off its roller too. It doesn't bug me as much as the top rack falling out at me all the time. I'm sure for this price point there are lot dishwashers that clean just as good without the design flaws.
This unit does a fantastic job cleaning dishes. It is very, very quiet. At first, we didn't know if it was running or not. The filter is easy to remove and clean with warm, soapy water and a soft scrub brush. So those are the positives. The negative part of this washer is that the wheels on the upper rack height adjuster break easily. The top rack just doesn't seem to be sturdily made. I have had to replace the height adjusters twice, and noticed last night that one of them has broken again. We have been careful pulling the top rack out since it broke the first time, but it doesn't seem to matter. It is not difficult to replace the part, but it costs $32.45, so in two years I will have spent well over $100 (shipping isn't cheap) replacing a poorly designed and manufactured part, and I can expect to replace them again in the future.
I've only had this dishwasher for 2 weeks, but everything seems to be working excellent. This dishwasher is extremely quiet and cleans the dishes extremely well. As of right now, I would recommend this dishwasher without reservation.
It is quiet and reasonably attractive in terms of styling. Those are the only good aspects of this dishwasher. This machine makes your dishes DIRTIER than when they are put into it. You must prewash your dishes completely. You must scrub and clean them thoroughly before putting them into this worthless hunk of junk. STILL they come out with a dark film that gets thicker each time they go through. This machine cannot remove even a thin film of cooking oil even if rinsed and dishes are spaced THREE ROWS APART. We tried different settings, different soaps, etc. Problem is, when you call Sears tech support, they will try to BLAME YOU. They will say it is because you are not using a rinsing agent (ridiculous) or because you are not cleaning the filter (wrong - we clean it all the time). We are having it serviced again for the 2nd time. Hopefully we can get help with this. We paid a lot of money for this and expected better.
Pros Cleans very well. This dishwasher gets everything very clean with no spotting, filming or tiny bits of food on the dishes. I need to use the smart dry function to have no spotting or film. Occasionally it will not get some things clean (not more than a few, but that is rare) usually something really tough, but I wash it again if it's not too tough, and it usually comes clean. The pots and pans function with the turbo really gets pots and pans clean and I mean tough stuff. So I'm very pleased with how clean it gets everything. All the cycles and options are great and there a lot of them. Read about them on the description Construction The tines are 100 percent nylon, so the coating won't wear off. It has a stainless steal interior. The top tines fold down. Ease of use It's easy to use. It's easy to load. It holds a lot The top can be easily lowered or raised or even removed. The controls are intuitive. The detergent comparts are easy to use and well designed. Ease of cleaning It should be easy to clean because all the controls are flat and controls are on the top instead of the front. Noise It's pretty quiet. No problem watching TV in the adjacent room Young family friendly. This would be a great dishwasher if you have any young children or babies because they are no controls on the front, you can lock it, and it has a sanitizing function which would be great for baby bottles, and it has compartment with the silverware basket that would be good for little things like pacifiers, and it should be easy to clean Energy and water efficiency The energy star program rated it average. It has several function to make it more energy efficient and to save water. It has a function were use can wash just the top rack. Design? I not sure if this has to do with the design or the installation, when the old dishwasher was removed and the new one was installed there wasn't any cement in front of dishwasher any more Noise It could be quieter (but probably wouldn't clean as well, given my experience with my old Bosch which I could hardly hear even if I was standing right in front of it.), but you can delay start it 2, 4 or 8 hours so for me it should not be an issue since I usually run it at night. Construction I wish the bottom tines folded down, but it hasn't been a problem. I just put large item over the times. I really can't figure out why they didn't make to so that the bottom tines fold down--very puzzling.
When we were in the store the one thing that we emphasized was that the dishwasher needed to dry the dishes completely. We found out that this item did not do a great job unless you used a rinsing agent. With the rinsing agent the dishwasher does an excellent job. You also have to be standing right next to it to tell whether it is running or not. It is really quiet.
