PURCHASE OF CARAFE
i AGREE THIS COFFEE MAKER IS AWESOME AND I AGREE THE ONLY PROBLEM IS WHILE POURING IT DRIPS BUT THAT HAPPENS WITH QUITE A FEW DIFFERENT MAKERS. BUT THE BIGGEST CONCERN IS IF YOU BREAK THE CARAFE IT WILL COST YOU HALF THE PRICE OF THE MACHINE, CARAFE+SHIPPING+BIG BUCKS AND A WAITING PERIOD, THEY WILL NOT STOCK THE CARAFE IN STORE SO BE CAREFUL WITH THE POT. GOOD LUCK. AND WILL PROBABLY PASS ON FUTURE KENMORE PURCHASES

Had 2, both don't work
I had 2 of these coffee makers after returning the first and hoping the second would work it did not. Now the second has to go back. I could not even brew one cup of coffee. It makes use of less than half of the the water you place in the coffee maker the rest is steam and noise. Do not waste your time.

Coffee maker is fast, quiet and remarkable

I love the programmable coffee maker. It is fast and effective to set for the morning so you do not have to make it in the morning just set your timer and go. If you have a stainless steel kitchen it matches perfect with tthe decor.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

This is just an incredible product and I am satisfied with it.  The coffee that this coffee maker makes is very good and tasty, and in just a few minutes you get 14 cups of good coffee. I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone, I really like it.

The Kenmore Elite 14-cup coffee maker

I really like this coffee pot.It has stylish looks and I have never had a coffee maker that makes a pot of coffee as fast as this one does.I have had more expensive pots and they don't measure up to this Kenmore.

Elite Coffeemaker Not What It Appears

We purchased this coffeemaker because we have other Elite appliances and they've all been quite good. It appeared to be made from brushed metal, but turned out it was a painted finish that over time began to blister. It's slow to brew--about 15 minutes for full capacity.

This is too expensive a coffeemaker to not last any longer than it did...about two years.

NOT USER FRIENDLY

I purchased this coffee maker thinking that it would be wonderful - boy, was I wrong! -- Very difficult to fill and the carafe is the worst one ever! --  Needles to say, between the difficult filling and dripping carafe -- be ready to clean up a mess with every brew!!
If you need a coffee maker this large, do yourself a great favor -- add a few dollars and purchase the Kitchenaid.

Carafe handle is not stong enough to hold 14cups of water

I bought this coffeemaker in August 2009. Have used it everyday. Last week the handle on the carafe broke off. Tried to find a replacement pot with no luck. Because,  Kenmore has a lifetime warranty on it I tried to exchange it at the store I bought it from. I was treated rudely and with disrespect, this was after I asked three employees for help. They were standing around not doing anything at the service desk. Then I was told that they could not honor the lifetime warranty.

Sears has just lost a customer.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COFFEE MAKER !

I purchased this coffee maker with confidence that Sears has always stood behind the products they sell and did the research to what they put the sears name on. Obviously this item was overlooked.

The lid pops open during brewing. I took the first one back after only a couple of pots and exchanged it for another. It does the esame thing.

I have lost a bit of my faith in the sears brand. I really thought at the price this would be an excellent pot -BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

I have just returned the SECOND of these coffeemakers. Believe the negative reviews. We are all saying the same things. A few lucky people have gotten good ones, or at least they were when the reviews were posted.

I returned the first one because the lid popped up during brewing, the lights and beeper began blinking and beeping at any and then at all times. Next it produced only a fraction of the 14 cups of coffee during the cycle. The second one had a good latch so the lid did not pop up, but after a few days the lights began to go on and off at any time and finally most stayed on all the time. It did not start brewing only a fraction of the 14 cups. Instead, it would not brew at all!!! The brew light was the one light that wouldn't come on! This was after exactly six months, eight weeks of which the coffeemaker wasn't even used! I returned the first after waiting too long to get a refund. I took advantage of the 5 year warranty and exchanged it. However, I had ordered online to have it delivered because traveling to a store and wrestling it to my car is a hardship, warranty or no warranty. Now I've had to go through that THREE times--(1)return #1 to store, (2) bring #2 home and (3) return #2.  I did not get another. Neither should you.

I'm not impressed

We have always had very good luck with sears brand products, we purchsed this around the holidays last year '08 and from the 1st use, I was not happy.  There is an annoying alarm that goes off, so don't bother making coffee on weekends when everyone is sleeping and you want a quiet moment.  Then it goes off again around every 15 mins.  The caraffe does not pour straight so coffee goes every where not to mention the thumb press tab broke off the 1st week.  The brew time is very fast that is the only positive thing.  We won't be replacing it with the same model that is for sure.

Great Coffeemaker - Not so great Carafe

Received it as a Mother's Day gift and I really like it! It looks great on my counter, makes great coffee and is super easy to use. (Important for when the in-laws come and try to work it!) Only problem is the carafe broke after only a few uses. Not happy that I have to replace it so soon.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
