Nice!
After comparing this updated model to the older model, I can see that a new steel plate was added to the bottom front edge to help reduce the steam damage to door or electric panel. This is the improved version, and probably is not the same one that one reviewer bought 2 years ago with handle problem due to steam/heat from range (I saw the older model being phased out and on close out sales currently in the stores). I bought the new model, even though I have no cooking range underneath. The microwave is very quiet during operation. Haven't tested all he features yet, but so far so good. It didn't quite match up with the Kenmore Pro double oven we have, even the clock display is blue (it's green on Kenmore Pro) and harder to read from far away. But this is not Sears' fault as I picked the different Kenmore line. I do wish the cooktop light is led though.

Good function/Poor design
The microwave functionality is awesome. Everything INSIDE the microwave works fine. However, if you plan to use this appliance over your stovetop range, THINK TWICE! Don't do it. We purchased this 'high end' microwave only to have the handle PEEL from the heat of the stovetop. We had this (and all our appliances) installed two years ago and feel that it's a poorly designed product. Reconsider purchasing this microwave if you intend to use it over your stovetop range.

Great Look

Bought this Kenmore Elite to complete our new kitchen. Very quiet and heats quickly. Haven't cooked in the microwave yet mostly used for reheating.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Steam from top vent will ruin overhead cabinet

We just installed this microwave and have it vented outside. When we cook something that creates a lot of steam (most frozen microwave meals) the steam will also come out top vent of the microwave. This causes a lot of steam to collect on the front of my new cabinet. Over time this will ruin the finish. Poor design!

Plastic Microwave Door Handle

As long time Sears customers and owners of several rental homes we have purchased many appliances over the past 30+ years and have come to appreciate and expect quality from Sears. We purchased the gas range with this over-the-range microwave combo for our own home in late 2011. The price was a little steep but we were under the impression that we were buying ALL STAINLESS STEEL so this was something that would last. That is why we were so dissapointed when, within the first year, we noticed bubbling and peeling the microwave door handle. Although the door handle was designed to match the oven door handle, they are not made of the same material -- the microwave's is actually a PLASTIC door handle painted over with a faux stainless steel paint. Thankfully we had purchased the extended 3-year warranty as we are on our 3 microwave door handle in as many years. Not sure what we'll do next time the handle melts since we will no longer be under warranty. The handle itself runs about $50 and that's not including labor (replacing handle involves dismantling the entire door). Overall just extremely dissapointed and feel deceived as even on this page the description reads 'stainless steel' and it's what you would expect for the price -- seems like deceptive advertising.

Faulty Part, Poor Design, Kenmore (not so elite) Over-the-range Microwave

If you use this over a gas top stove, it will melt the handle. I wouldn't mind this if Kenmore would back up their product and send me another handle to install every 6 months. There needs to be a recall on this product and let me return this product. Please do not buy if you have a gas stove.

Beautiful Appliance

I truly love my new micro/conversion oven. I would have given it 5 stars, but there is a small ding in the stainless steel panel.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Better than I thought!

I did not actually order this microwave! The microwave I ordered was not available (we took delivery 3 months after purchase) So Sears upgraded my order to this model! SUPER bonus! Wow, I use this way more than I ever thought I would. It holds a large baking pan, I use it to bake cookies, it has a rack so if you have more than one item to reheat there is plenty of space! Worth every penny!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great microwave

Microwave is huge, but very quiet, fan has 4 speeds, cooks fast, a real beauty. You won't be sorry you bought this one. If you install it yourself, you need 2 people, as it is very heavy. Very pleased with this purchase.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Nice system

It is nice looking, works great, has nice features, great capacity and easy setup. Haven't tried the convection part yet, but seems simple enough. Great way to expand our oven capacities without a huge remodel. Love all the vent speeds and how much quieter it is than the Maytag we had at the other house.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
