So far I love it!
After researching many models, I recently purchased this item to replace my dying microwave. So far, operating as a microwave, it does everything I want it to. I have not tried the convection oven yet, but hope to soon. My main reason for purchasing this model was the stainless steel interior. I do wish the instruction manual was a little clearer on how to operate the convection oven vs. the microwave. I have never had a convection oven/microwave combo before, so it is all new to me. I am very happy with my purchase!

Bad Product
I bought one of these after my microwave broke really excited about the convection features, thinking it would be great to have a smaller oven, especially in the summer months here in Texas. Well with the first one I bought we tried to bake chicken in convection mode, and started to think something was up when it was taking over 2 hours to get it to a safe internal temperature. We were supposed to be cooking it at 350 per the oven display, but I used a probe thermometer to find out it was at around 220 the whole time. I raised the temp on the display to the highest setting to get the real temp to around 300 to finish cooking the chicken. The next day, I tried preheating the oven to 350 and when it signaled that it had reached that temp I put in the probe thermometer to see and again it was only at around 220. So, the temps are very inaccurate and the oven just doesn't get hot enough to be of real use. I returned this first one after calling Kenmore service, thinking it was possibly just a defective one after the phone call. But, the second one is worse...same issue with the temperature and it also makes a weird metal on metal sound when starting in convection mode. This product needs to be pulled and re-engineered. It's really damaged the brand for me...I can't see myself buying any Kenmore 'Elite' products given how shoddy this one is. I'll be returning the second one tomorrow, big waste of time.

Kenmore Elite microwave

This is truly an excellent microwave. It does everything you'd expect from a microwave plus it has a convection cooking feature. We cooked a chicken casserole using this feature and it turned out very very good. The speed of cooking was impressive to say the least. We are very pleased with our purchase. We love Kenmore products. Every Kenmore product we have ever purchase has been above average in quality and utility. We will always look at Sears first before we make any major or minor appliance purchases.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Nice Microwave

Great microwave but the convection takes to long and gets way too hot! I bought this because I like the stainless steel inside. I only use the microwave feature I would not recommend this item for the convection feature. Also, the directions really do not tell you how to use the convection feature which is a bummer. Overall, nice Microwave!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Wish I would have known it needed 12" of overhead clearance...

Never had a chance to use this microwave since I could not install it in my kitchen. It requires 12" of overhead clearance which eliminates being able to use it under the cabinets. Now I have to hassle with returning it. Bummer!

Love my convention oven

this is the best money I have spent in a while. A great product and we use it every day. We had to replace a lot of our stuff after or fire in may 2014 and we went to sears for everything we could afford. We still need a few things and when where ready we will go back to sears. Thank you.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Do not buy this unit! This is our second time to replace this model! It will die just after your one year warranty is up.

Nice looking, but......

If there would have been one on display we would not have bought it. It looks nice and we assume it works nice, but there are no instruction with it that actually show you how to cook with the product. The box shows a rectangular pan in the oven, but it has a turntable in it that runs in both microwave and convection oven mode. It comes with a rack for convection oven cooking, but its small and designed to sit on the turntable so you can not put anything large in the oven. Now its very possible we are not using it correctly but with out practical cooking instructions its not of much value. If you can use it in convection mode without the turntable it should have included a full width rack and instructions that said you could leave the turntable out. Include a cook book and more information on cooking in convection mode and it might be a great product. As it is now we have a very expensive microwave oven.

Best little oven around

We had one of these for at least 10 years and used it daily. It finallt died so we bought this newer model. It has many more settings and is the greatest little oven for 2 people you can buy.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
