KENMORE ELITE MICROWAVE/CONVECTION OVEN
Just purchase this microwave/convection oven to replace the one I had for 10+ years last week. It works flawlessly very simple to use right out of the box. Bakes cookies to perfection which is the main reason I want another microwave with the convection feature. i.e. I'm a cookie junkie and the frozen cookie dough bakes perfect in this unit also bakes chicken nicely as well...I highly recommend this microwave/convection oven and besides its a Kenmore Elite you just can't go wrong with that brand name

Warning: Dimensions Data on Sears.com is WRONG
I ordered this product because it was the only convection style microwave that would fit into my 17.2" deep cavity... only to find out that the microwave's depth is actually 19.5" once it arrived.

Kenmore Microwave 1.5 cu ft

I was skeptical in buying a microwave/convection microwave. I was not sure how often I would actually use the convection mode. I am not having any issue at all with the microwave itself, but I am not using the convection mode at all. So with that said, if you are not really sure about convection, you probably would not use it, so you could just opt to purchase a straight out microwave. I also like the stainless steel option to this microwave.

ditto - DOA - from stolizino

7/28/2013. We picked up a new Kenmore Elite Microwave/Convection Oven model 405.74153310 from Chesterfield MO Sears. It did not work properly. When you set in the current time. It did not change. When you enter in a Microwave cook time, it does not count cooking time down. 7/29/2013: Replacement unit worked ... at least for now. Comment: The story began with an old microwave failure in the last week of May. Under warranty, repair parts cold not be found. Now is the last week of July and we finally get a replacement. Two months. Is this wait typical for Sears warranty replacement? Not pro-consumer. Feels like Sears wants you to go away. It was an exhausting wait .. and extremely frustrating for our family to live that period without a microwave.

very nice looking

I bought this June first. The first couple of weeks, everything was great. It microwaves very well. We then used the convection to bake some cupcakes. It did not fair very well. The oven took forever to get hot, and once we put the batter in the pan, it took twice as long to bake. When we were done, the glass on door was fogged up. It took two days for the glass to clear. Now every time we use the microwave, condensation builds up between the two panes of glass. I will be returning this oven.

So Far, So Good

I haven't had this long, but I have no complaints. Heats well and quickly. I'm just now beginning to use the convection feature and am happy to have this option.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Microwave Convection ovens are the best!

I like the mcrowave convection oven because you don't have to turn your big oven on for small baking projects. It bakes cookies and even pot pies evenly. Also great for rewarming pizza you don't want to warm in a microwave. Microwave is still there for your hot chocolate etc. and you only have one appliance on the counter.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

DOA

Purchased from Sears today, $299.99, brought it home, plugged it in, read the instructions, programmed the clock, but once the numbers were input and the clock was set, it simply did not advance. I had set it for 05:13, readout 5:13, punched timer/clock one time only to complete the program. As of 5:57 correct time, the microwave clock still reads 5:13. I tried to start the timer in accordance with the instructions; set for 1:30; after 3 minutes it still read 1:30. I attempted to program cook time 5:00 minutes; no cooking timer countdown. At the expiration time plus 2 minutes by my watch, the microwave was still cooking and still displayed 5:00. It cooks, but we have no clock function and we must gauge the cooking time by other means. We bought this oven as a secondary countertop microwave, but also to stand in for our Kenmore Elite OTR, not working because of a blown transformer, backordered with no arrival date, yet the same oem part is in stock online with 2-day delivery guarantee.

very bulky back-specs not accurate

this micro looked great but is very bulky. It was too large to fit into our micro cabinet. The specs say it is like 17.5 but it is 19.5" Due to the convection oven I believe it is deeper than regular microwaves. We never got a chance to use this but my kids really loved how it looked. I wanted something with a handle rather than the push button which always seems to break.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good microwave

A little under powered, but we were not sure how to use the convection part, so can't really review it well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
