Bought these filters the end of Dec. 2013. It is now middle of Feb. 2014 and filters are falling apart. The older filters used to last us all winter. Sears, did you change the manufacturer of these filters? On a positive note, I used our member rewards and received a discount when I purchased these filters.
Have been using the same humidifier for years. Part number forhe correct replacement filter has changed over the years but Sears has always had the filter that fits. Not much you can say about a filter except that it filters and works as designed.
We heat with wood in the winter and it can get very dry in our home. We use a kenmore humidifier to help replace some of the moisture in the air. The replacement filters are inexpensive and easy to use.
Like others having had good experiences in the past with Sears humidifer and previously made-in-Canada filters, I found totally unacceptable the new filters received this April (2013). They disintegrated within a month, leaving the filters unravelled, and broken-off papers, horizontal glue bands in the humidifer.

I've been using my humidifer for at least 15 years, always buying my replacement humidifer filters at Sears. I purchased new ones for this year about a week ago, and noticed that my unit was not working normally. I looked into my humidifer to find that my elements had fallen apart and collapsed into the water. This is the first time this ever happened in all the years of using this unit. I usually get an entire season of use out of these elements. What happened to the quality??
