We bought this blender for Thanksgiving, and I use it to make all kinds of smoothies, and I like the glass jar. However, In 6 months, the blade driver clutch were all wore out and unable to push the blade. It has 2 year warranty, and we did replace one with sears after talking to their manager. With the replaced blender, I made a papaya milkshade (even without ice), and found the blade driver clutch started to peel off again. And the warranty does not cover the replaced one. I would say it is useful, but definitely not lasting long.

I always wait several months after purchasing a blender before writing a review. Making smoothies daily for several decades now, by the 6 month mark I can usually tell the quality. I will say, out of the box, I was immediately impressed with this blender. You could see the quality then, and now, 6 months later, I still love it! I think this might be my first blender in almost a decade to finally last me more than a year... regular smoothie makers will know what I mean. My kids hate chunky smoothies, so part of the huge test with any blender is how smooth it makes everything. And I use hard veggies like carrots in addition to ice in some of my smoothies. They are all so smooth, it's almost like drinking a milkshake! My kids love them! I would highly recommend this blender to anybody. One thing to be aware of is that it is extremely powerful for a 350 watt motor, so it can "dance" if you don't watch it, and it's loud to use. But good quality motors can do that, so I see it as good :)
Bought this product and engine went out the second time that I was using it. Good thing that I still have 2 more months of warranty. It's clear for me that the motor doesn't have enough power to process the food. My recomendations: Buy the extended warranty if you want to still buy this blender. Still I don't think anybody should buy something like this unless if you are the type of person that loves to change your appliances every year. Sears is now selling really bad quality, too bad.

We purchased this blender a few months ago and wasn't able to use it until 06/30/12. We didn't even get to finish my smoothie and the blender just quit. We took it back to Sears Store in Bowling Green Ky and they wouldn't exchange it because I didn't have my receipt. I have never had an experience with Sears like this until today and we have been buying at Sears since 1968. This really puts a bad taste in my mouth with Sears Products. I am now stuck with a new blender that doesn't work
We bought this blender on sale at a good price: $30. However when it comes to make a salsa with small ingredients (I.e. garlic) they are not even touched by the blades! When mixing tomatoes, you will find that it leaves 3~4 small 1" pieces... Not sure why they are not blended together! Blades are not very sharp...not sure if this is the problem. Returning it today!
I bought this because it was on sale for $30 and it looked like it had a wider base around where the blades are so I was hoping ice wouldn't get as stuck. I've used it twice and as long as I remember to add a little more liquid than I would have thought to add is works amazingly. I can drink the drinks through a straw and the ice isn't getting stuck. I made a smoothie the first time and a frappuccino the second time. Margaritas here I come! :D
