Kenmore Bagless Compact Canister Vacuum - Lightweight
Versatile and compact, this Kenmore bagless canister vacuum is light and easy to use. Cleaning floors, carpets and rugs is simple with its 3-speed adjustable motor and retractable cord. Plus there's no more replacing bags with this bagless canister vacuum: the transparent dust bin shows you exactly when it's time to empty the canister. Its compact size makes it easy to lift and store while its 360-degree swivel hose and cyclonic design give you all the cleaning power you'd expect from a Kenmore vacuum.
- Innovative Cyclonic Design uses centrifugal force to create powerful, consistent suction that pulls dirt and hair easily from carpet fibers, cracks and upholstery.
- The 360-degree swivel hose eliminates twisting and tangling, so you have the flexibility you need for a deep clean in any direction.
- The LED electronic indicator lets you know when the dust bag is full or the hose is clogged, so you can fix it quickly and get back to cleaning.
- Easy on the back, a foot-activated power switch turns the vaccuum on and off without any bending over, so you don’t have to stoop to get a deep clean.
- Built to eliminate the trouble and tangle of rolling up the cord by hand, the retractable cord mechanism engages with the push of a button, wrapping up the job in seconds.
- Available for Gift Wrap

Love the ease, compactness and suction is great....the only problem is the weight of the actual hose attachment when vacuuming carpet, it is not heavy enough.

I loved my old kenmoore red bagless canister vac, this was the next one that sears made to replace it. It picks up well but it has metal on the bottom of the brush witch scratches the floor. I have bought 4 of these in the last year due to the handle breaking off. although sears took them back it is a big inconvience . Please fix the handle problem!!! I recommend this product if you fix this problem.

Not going to be reporting on anything that hasn't already been said in previous reviews, merely going to emphasize what sucks about this item. Should have know, for $50 what I would be getting, but we had a Kenmore canister vac before and it lasted something like 10-15 years. Don't expect to get that kind of endurance out of this sorry excuse for a vacuum cleaner. I can't actually complain too much about the suction and the variable control is nice. That is about the only redeeming feature of this POS. As has been mentioned before, the plastic is thin and cheap. Cracked the end of one of the tubes trying to vacuum a rug and when I called to try to get a replacement, was told that parts are not made for this disposable vacuum cleaner. Wish I had kept the tubes from the old one, you could break some bones with those things. The floor attachment sucks so badly(no pun intended), it's amazing. You'd think they would have put some rollers on the bottom, but no, let's let the consumer just scratch the bejesus out of their floors. No wait, we can give them bristles they can lower! Yeah, but they just push the dirt around and prevents it from getting sucked into the vacuum. And the system to raise and lower the bristles is a joke too. They are plastic tabs that alternately move up and down, depending on if the bristles are up or down. Beneath each tab is a plastic piece that keeps the tab in place, but when you lower the bristles on my attachment, that plastic piece now comes out of the attachment housing and instead of just being able to push it back down with the foot as it is meant to be used, I have to lift the attachment off the floor and push that plastic piece back in. I can't complain too much about the dirt canister, although it does get plugged up at times, but we have a dog that sheds like crazy, so it is to be expected and the the section that does get plugged easily can be removed and the clog removed. I will also add that I was very disappointed with the customer service that Sears/Kenmore provided me. Or should I say, did not provide me. The first time I called in, I was kind of shuffled around and nobody knew about getting parts, etc. One agent was actually pretty rude and condescending to me. Only wish I had gotten that a$$clown's name. With no success in getting replacement parts, I finally had to call Sears in Chicago and request to speak with a VP for Kenmore(even though there isn't a separate division) and finally managed to get a measly $50 gift card for my trouble. And I still have a piece of shyt vacuum that is frustrating as all get out. Never again, will I buy a Kenmore. And people wonder why others are willing to shell out hundreds for a Dyson. Most expensive isn't always best, but inexpensive usually sucks. Since I can only answer yes or no to the below questions, I would never, ever recommend this item to a friend, relative or acquaintance. Heck, I wouldn't even recommend this item to my worst enemy!!!

Vacuum works very well but if you have pets and use this as your main vacuum you should not buy this. I would go with one that is a bag vac. The air filter gets clogged up and I have to vacuum it with my other vacuum.
I bought this vacuum cleaner because my old Eureka canister was wearing out and I have back problems, so I wanted another canister vacuum. I was interested in the bagless feature, but am not impressed with the technology. If you are only picking up dirt and dust, it's fine. However, whomever developed this technology apparently didn't take into account the possibility of someone with long hair living in the house. When hair is swept up, it catches in the intake part of the dust bin, meshes with the dirt and clogs the whole thing up. In approximately a month or so of use, I have taken the dust bin apart 3 times to unclog the intake cylinder. This is very annoying. It's a great vacuum with good suction if you are only going to be sweeping dirt and dust, but don't count on proper operation if there is long hair involved.

Got this on sale to give to my sister who is going away to college. I did not want to spend to much money since I knew this was only going to vbe used for a small dorm. I bought this because it doesnt use bags that way she would not have to spend additional money to make it work.
