Versatile and compact, this Kenmore bagless canister vacuum is light and easy to use. Cleaning floors, carpets and rugs is simple with its retractable cord. Plus there's no more replacing bags with this bagless canister vacuum: the transparent dust bin shows you exactly when it's time to empty the canister. Its compact size makes it easy to lift and store while its 360-degree swivel hose and cyclonic design give you all the cleaning power you'd expect from a Kenmore vacuum.

  • Designed to make cleaning-up after pets a cinch, the Pet PowerMate™ attachment lifts hair, dander and more from furniture, rugs and carpeting in seconds.
  • The True HEPA certified filter can be trusted to remove almost all significant allergens from air flowing through the vacuum, so you can breathe easy.
  • The filterless dust cup gathers dirt in a round chamber that empties quickly and saves you the cost of replacement bags.
  • Upper and lower quick releases let you easily attach and detach on-board tools at the press of a button, making transitioning between surfaces a breeze.

Exceptional Performance
I wanted a canister vacuum with a powerhead, retractable cord, metal telescoping wand, power controls on the handle, easily accessible tools, bagless with a washable HEPA filter. It even comes with a small powerhead to pick up pet hair. I use it for my stairs. WOW, I am so happy with this vacuum. This model has all these features in a sleek looking design.Plus it is quiet The powerful suction is impressive. Light weight and so maneuverable. Very easy to empty the dust container. The HEPA filter sits in a soft rubber case. Looks very easy to clean. This is the most I have ever spent on a vacuum. I would compare it to a more expensive brand that promises no loss of suction. This is a more versatile product. Plus it's a Sears Kenmore. Great quality. The only complaint i have is it took 27 days for it to get to my local Sears store. Twice the delivery date was changed. I called customer service to find out what the problem was. All the Rep could tell me is it was backordered. Very frustrating, but ultimately worth the wait.

In a word, disappointing.
Our last Kenmore vacuum cleaner lasted about 10 years and simply quit working a couple of days ago. Since then, we've read countless reviews and tested several vacuum cleaners. Although its a relatively new model with few reviews (all very positive), we decided to take a chance on the Kenmore Bagless Canister Vacuum. Why? Well, it has all the features that we desired for a vacuum cleaner and an attractive price. Based on our last positive Kenmore vacuum cleaner experience, we had high hopes that we would have this new one for many years. Within minutes of bringing it home and plugging it in though, it developed a high pitched whistling noise. Not long after that, we noticed a hot odor. It wasn't quite a burning smell, just smelled as if something was too hot. When we touched the vacuum cleaner, the bottom felt too hot for our comfort. Yes, this vacuum cleaner picked up the dirt and dog hair very well within the 14' x 14' room during the 10 minutes we used it. Unfortunately, the whistling sound, hot smell and hot feeling add up to a return trip.

LOVE IT

This little vac is wonderful! I tried a highly rated Samsung vac but I hated it. The Samsung was large, cumbersome, and had no suction on bare floors. I took it back and exchanged it for this little Kenmore. The Kenmore is easy to maneuver even in a tight space like my walk-in closet. If the canister has to be picked up to move or to vacuum in a small space, it has a sturdy handle and it is not very heavy to carry around. The wand is adjustable in length so I can get all the way under my king size bed and reach the corners of my 9 foot ceilings. The carpet/floor attachment is powerful on carpets and easy on bare floors. Changing from carpet to floor is a simple press of my thumb on the handle. The suction that can be adjusted by a little twist of a dial in the handle is excellent! The two most used tool accessories have a convenient attachment on the wand. While the canister is small, I vacuumed 3 carpeted bedrooms and all the bare floors in my house before the motor powered down in warning that the canister was full, which is another nice feature.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Vacuum not for me

If you have a pet(s) do not buy this vacuum. It takes forever to clean out the canister and it is an extremely dirty job. I have to use plastic pliers to pull out the pet hair as it gets stuck inside. The canister has to be changed frequently as it is small. That said, the suction is terrific and the vacuum is easy to use except for cleaning out the canister. I've always bought Kenmore vacuums but this one is not for me. Too bad it's too late to return it. What was Consumer Reports thinking?

Not Pleased

Purchased one of these in the Fall of 2013. Returned it within 30 days because the height setting did not function properly. After receiving a replacement unit, I found that the canister motor would not function. Called the help line and was told to disconnect and reconnect the hose into the canister. Problem temporarily solved. Unfortunately, the problem recurred necessitating a second call to the help line. Each time, the hose latch tab was snapped in place before hand. The problem has now occurred again and this time it took several attempts before the canister motor would function. To make matters worse, once the motor activates, after a few seconds it gives off a strong loud noise. Of course, the warranty period has now expired.

Do Not Buy

This vacuum cleaner is terrible. I have it 9 months now and it has given me nothing but problems. Paid $275.00 for it, so I feel stuck. I dread having to use it now. Takes me forever to vacuum because the filter constantly gets clogged. DO NOT BUY!!!

I loathe this vacuum

Clean up is a disaster with this vacuum. Dust and dirt get all over my clothes and home. I have to sweep AFTER vacuuming. Because it's such a mess, I go outside to empty it into a bag defeating the point of it being bagless AND I have to reach into the canister to pull out the hair that's tangled in the canister. Additionally, one has to empty it multiple times during one use. I hate this vacuum.

Kenmore vacuum

I love our new vacuum. We have had several vacuums throughout life, but have always came back to "good old Kenmore". The quality of these vacuums is like no other. Cleaning becomes easy and sometimes even fun. The suction power is great. My favorite part is the settings on the height of brushes that clean. High, medium, low or extra low. It really cleans the rugs well. This vacuum has a heap filter, which is great Ina house with allergic people. And emptying the canister is easy breezy with this bagless version of Kenmore. I strongly recommend this vacuum to everyone.

Extremely Disappointed

I bought this vacuum based on a leading consumer magazine rating and ordered it through sears.com. It was a gift and opened 3 days after the 30 day return period. To my dismay, the beater bar power head was broken and sears.com would not exchange it. Because this product came out of the box broken and Sear's unsympathetic customer service,, I cannot recommend their vacumm. '

Good canister vacuum.

Only used the new bagless canister vacuum once, but it performed very well once I got the hang of it. Initially, it kept turning off when I would start vacuuming on carpet, but after adjusting the connections a few times, the problem seemed to go away and I was able to vacuum the entire upstairs and downstairs with no problem. It isn't very loud, and it picked up far more dirt than either of my old vacuums. So far, as long as it doesn't start turning off again, it will be a vast improvement over my old vacuums.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

MEDIOCRE

Works well, but far too complicated to maintain. The dirt receptacle area fills up much too quickly and it's nowhere as simple as just pulling out a single dust cup and emptying it into a garbage can---there are many nooks and crannies inside that area that collect gobs of dust which have to be dug out manually, and the dust cup itself comes apart into several segments. Clogs are a frequent problem, again because there are so many cavities and filters within the unit for them to collect in or on. You have to read every page in the manual to understand all the complicated maintenance procedures that are necessary to keep this machine going. It's too late to exchange it---we're going to keep it as a back-up and buy another vacuum that uses bags and is, hopefully, as simple to operate and maintain use as my superb 16-year-old Kenmore whose motor finally died. R.I.P., old friend! I know I'll never see your like again!
