This dehumidifier is very quiet! We have had it for 9 months now with no problems. . . . . . We wish it had a longer drain hose available. A 12-20 foot hose option would be perfect. . . . . . Our old Kenmore dehumidifier lasted at least 21 years. It was in the house when we bought the house. It looked old then but worked fine. . . . . . Hopefully we get 20 plus years on the new one.

Your mileage may vary, but in my home @ 80F/65% RH with fan on "Normal", this unit extracted 12.55 lbs of water in about 3 hours consuming 2.96 kwh. That works out to about 1.92 L/kwh.

I have had multiple dehumidifiers over the years and never seemed to find one that works and is quiet. Right from the start it was quiet and my daughter sleeps right next to it. Even though it was running all the time she had no issues. The one complaint I have is that the bucket gets extremely full to the point that it spills when I take it out of the machine. What I have done to resolve this issue is have a small bucket next to the machine. I empty into this bucket and then use it to carry the water to be disposed of. Otherwise I end up with spills of water all over the floor. The other thing that would be nice is to have a remote control system that would allow you to monitor the temperature, water level and speed of the fan. Or a setting that you could program so that the bucket doesn't get so full.
I have been using this dehumidifier in my basement for about 2 weeks now.this is a replacement for the dehumidifier I've had for about the last 8 years, it finally just wouldn't work anymore . I like this unit and it really collects the a lot of water in a days time, the only downside to this is that the bucket is actually kind of tough to take out and put back in. I wish I a situation where I could just use the continuous drain feature.
The new unit works fine, but doesn't seem to extract moisture as quickly as the recalled unit of the same rating. What gripes me is no consideration of price break to get new unit despite hassles of dealing with recall. And the first of the new units was broken when I got it home and had to take it back for yet another.
