Energy Bill went up $100!
seems to work well. slightly odd smell initially. However- our energy bill went up $100, even though we had a dehumidifier previously (and were using it) does not seem it could be energy star related. plan to attach device to see exactly how much energy is being used.

Replacement unit for recalled item

The new unit works fine, but doesn't seem to extract moisture as quickly as the recalled unit of the same rating. What gripes me is no consideration of price break to get new unit despite hassles of dealing with recall. And the first of the new units was broken when I got it home and had to take it back for yet another.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

dehumiifier

My wife is allergic to dust mites. We are long term sears customers so we checked all of the different units available. We chose the kenmore 70 pt. over the other available. The unit does a excellent job of removing the moisture from our bedroom. Dust mite are not supposed sot live under a humidity percentage of 45. This unit is quite and in two hours drops the air bedroom humidity down to 38 %. There is a learning curve for removing and installing the drain pan. Place the bottom in first then tip the top in. After a few installations inserting the pan will be easier. The machine is excellent quite and add a little heat to the room.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Much needed dehumidifier

The Kenmore dehumidifier is a plastic unit and can be hooked up to a drainage hose which is quite essential in my home but I would much prefer a metal unit like the last one I had but I know they no longer manufacture them that way. I will take what gets the job done.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
