Product Description

The Kenmore® 78102 gas dryer SmartDry Ultra Technology that adjusts time and temperature to prevent over drying and shrinking. It uses 2 advanced temperature monitors and 2 moisture sensors while providing the gentlest clothing care*, so even your most delicate items stay looking new.

The white Kenmore 7810 dryer includes a Sanitize cycle that uses high heat temperatures to eliminate up to 99.9% of common household bacteria.** It’s perfect for sanitizing items like bedding and children’s clothing. The Wrinkle Guard® option will tumble clothes periodically for up to 150 minutes after the dryer cycle has ended to help prevent wrinkles from setting in.

  • Smart Dry Technology uses advanced sensors that adjust the interior temperature to remove the moisture from your fabrics and ensure dry clothes and linens without overheating.
  • Medium range capacity gives this dryer the power of some bigger machines, allowing it to deliver features that fluff, finish and dry your fabrics to perfection.
  • QuietPak™ sound insulation absorbs both vibrations and sound for quieter operation from the beginning to end of cycle.
  • Built to perform like no other, this dryer combines smart design and useful features to deliver performance that’s best in class.

*Compared to dryers with SmartDry and SmartDry Plus Technology.
**Tested per NSF® Protocol P154.

Good Dryer...
This dryer is a very good. It appears to me, however, that it takes longer to dry the clothes than my previous dryer. It is probably me trying to get used to the different settings, and the fact that I am drying more clothes than before. I will update my review in 4-6 months

So many problems
Bought this and matching washer end of Jan. FIRST dryer didn't work- kept getting an AF error, even thought duct work re-run, drum wouldn't tumble, and would just hum. Took it back and waited a week for replacement. It took 3 hours to dry a SMALL load of t-shirts, which then I still had to hang up to finish drying!! Gave it another chance, with a small load, and still took over 3 hours and clothes do not get quite dry. Returned this one too as this will just raise the gas bill, not very energy efficient, Went back to my old dryer (a refurbished model from the late 1990's) and am able to now get my laundry done!

Good drying options and no shrunk clothing!

Loving the performance and features of this dryer. There are plenty of settings for every type of thing you need to dry. Since owning this dryer, I have not shrunk a single piece of clothing! Don't get me wrong, this dryer is capable of getting hot- if you set it to do so. My most difficult items to dry are jeans, pet beds, and comforters, and this baby gets them dry without a problem. There is a ton of room in this thing and will fit large and bulky items with ease.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

As good as it gets

Seems to me (as with all modern, poor quality controlled, electronic dependent appliances from all manufacturers) you either get the out of the box lemon or the one that works right. I got the one that worked perfectly right from the start. The controls are super for both quickly setting your drying and for modifying the drying parameters. Of interest is that I am getting about 10% of the lint on the screen that I was getting with the Maytag gas dryer that I replaced which means that it is much easier on my clothes. For those who got the lemon, just return it and get a replacement even if you have to do it a few times. When you get the one that is right, you will be very happy.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Don't buy

Had this dryer delivered yesterday with the matching washer. Dryer is garbage. Keep getting the AF code on screen. Replaced all vent work and still receiving message. Takes about two hrs or more to dry the load. We're headed back to Sears today for a full refund.. Would not recommend this machine at all. Good luck if you purchase one...my last set was a kenmore and never had this type of problem.

I love this dryer!

I bought this dryer and the matching washer this week to replace my 15 year old Sears Kenmore Elite; and it works great. Fast drying time, quiet, many cycles to choose from, wrinkle guard, auto-dry cycles and timed, plus a sanitize cycle. It has everything plus more that my old machine had!!! I love it!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
