Kenmore 7.0 cu.ft. Electric Dryer, the best in the past..
I am replacing a Kenmore dryer that is 31 years old. I think I got my monies worth. I hope this one is of the same quality. In reading the reviews I saw that the dryer did not come with a cord. Thinking that was strange I did my Google research (what did we do with out that!) and found out why. Different areas of the country have different building codes which mean different cords. I do agree to avoid the frustration that should be POSTED. Easy enough to do and avoid all the frustration. 3 prong, 4 prong cords. Do you research to end the frustration. Also check your outlet! If 3 pronged it will need to be changed to a 4 pronged outlet. This means running another electrical line to upgrade. From my research you can use the L 3 prong on the 4 pronged dryer unit. That is what am going to do. Come on Sears, it is not difficult to update your website to inform your customers. Customer service is what it is all about!

Kenmore Dryer
Just after one year, after warranty has ran out the motor burnt out on our Kenmore. We had the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer/Dryer before this one and after one year on that one the heating element went out prompting us to buy the Kenmore. We just bought a Frigidaire hoping this will out last the other two brands. I researched all of these brands and read reviews before I bought any of these which is why I am writing this review!!!!

Dryer only worked for 3 weeks

Bought this dryer after replacing my old dryer that I had for 20+ years. Dryer only worked properly for 3 weeks, good thing I bought the extended warranty. I've made 3 service calls for the same issue in less than 30 days and it still isn't working. Dealing with Sears on my issues has not been easy actually very frustrating.

Dyer does not dry completely! VERY disappointed!

My old dryer worked better than this one. Let's start with the "Auto Moisture Sensing"...No matter how small of a load, no matter how light the fabric is, it simply DOES NOT dry completely! Then we'll go to the "Wrinkle Guard"...DOES NOT guard against wrinkles, they're still there!! Then we'll go to the "Time Dry"...will work on 60 min. Then we'll go to the "Dry Temp"...keep it on "high cotton" because the 2 other DO NOT dry completely! So, we have a dryer with 3 out of 4 functions that simply DO NOT work - so why not buy a cheaper dryer that does not have those functions?? My electric bill was substantially higher than it's EVER been in the past 9 years!! I only used it 5 times! I'm absolutely in shock that this new appliance that I spent $500 on, is, in my eyes, useless! Will be taking this back and pray that my next purchase is not the same!

Broke in 3 weeks or less

I have had this dryer for less than 3 weeks and it will not heat. It just turns around. I bought the 3 year extended service plan but it still took 30 minutes on the phone to finally convince the man to have a new one sent out. It will not get here until tomorrow. My wet clothes will sit in my brand new Kenmore dryer for 24 hours before I can dry them. I would have complained that it sounds like it should be in a barn at camp but now I realize I should have been happy it worked. Also, don't let the sale price fool you. It does not come with a cord, that ans several other things are extra.

So far satisfied

The lint trap is a little cheap feeling because it is plastic but it is almost exactly like my last one. Good basic dryer.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent Dryer

Just purchased this new dryer and am very pleased. Delivery was very easy and professional. I bought this dryer based on the price and all of the positive reviews. I am not sure why there are a few bad ones on here....a few people were complaining about the cord. They said it didn't come with one and they had confusion on 3, or 4 prong. I read this in a few different reviews and I thought I would clear it up. It really was no problem at all. Add the cord to your cart, along with the dryer. Also, buy the right one, dummy. Really though....look at your outlet....if it is a 3 prong....buy the 3 prong cord....if it's a 4 prong....buy the 4 prong cord. It really isn't a problem at all, just wanted to clear up that complaint from the others.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Out of my house!

If it were possible I would not give it any stars. I washed a small test load (one set of sheets=4 pieces). After nearly 3 hours of trying the machine (can't call it a dryer) has not dried them! Just to be certain I tried ALL of the drying cycles available. I had to hang them in the house to dry. The money I saved at purchase will be going to the utility company. I am very, very disappointed. Never again!
