Product Description
Kenmore is America's # 1 appliance brand, trusted in the homes of more than 100 million Americans.
The Kenmore 6.0 cu. ft. white dryer 6152 has a flat back design so you can fit it in tight places. Auto Moisture Sensing tells the dryer when clothes are dry, to avoid under-drying and over-drying. The Wrinkle Guard® option reduces the need to iron by tumbling a dry load intermittently until you can empty it.
- The large 6.0 cu. ft. capacity dryer is designed to handle large loads
- Changing the lint filter is super easy with its convenient location on top of the dryer
- The flat back dryer has a shorter depth so it can fit through smaller doors and be installed in tighter places, and the reversible, side-swing, wide-opening door allows you to open it left to right or right to left
- The Auto Moisture-Sensing system automatically ends the cycle when clothes are dry to help protect them from over-drying
- The Wrinkle Guard® feature is up and running after the cycle is over to help prevent wrinkles from setting in. It tumbles clothes intermittently for up to 40 minutes after the The drum light illuminates the interior of the dryer so you can easily see items in the back.

We bought our Kenmore electric dryer in December of 2010. It broke down last month, January of 2012. When I brought in someone to repair it, they said it would cost $300 to fix, nearly as much as I paid for the appliance. I contacted Sears customer service, but they will not take it back or repair it, though they offered to sell me a new one.
Would you want to buy a new electric dryer that will break down in 13 months?

I bought this item at a great sales price (compared to the full price that is) If I had paid the full price I would have probably returned it for a replacement. I can't complain about it's performance, so far (just a few weeks) it seems to work as it should...but my disappointment is with the workmanship, the finish the "quality control" (or lack thereof) if you like. Before taking it out of the box, there were scratches visible on the control panel - the protective plastic cover proved to be totally ineffective. And then, out of the box, the rear panel seems to have been put on by an amateur and someone who obviously has no pride of workmanship; only one of the sheet-metal screws is NOT crooked.... ...hopefully the durability of the product won't be compromised by the lack of care of the assembler.

We bought a Kenmore washer dryer set and were never happy with the moisture sensor in the dryer. We started out with the setting knob in the middle and slowly cranked it up all the way but it never completely dried the clothes. We had to keep switching to a timed setting to finish drying anything. Then just after 15 months the sensor unit went bad and we had the sensor replaced. It cost us $180 to have sears replace the defective part. Still didn't work any better. Then 6 months later the same thing happened again and cost another $90 for a private person to fix it and he cleaned all the venting for that price. Now it broke again. Don't see how **************** says Kenmore is reliable. We've had multiple, less serious leakage issues with the washing machine as well. sigh

In less than 2 months, this dryer broke twice! Drum rollers are defective or the dryer was poorly designed. Noise sounded like 15 combat boots were rolling around in the dryer. Dealing with Sears was a nightmare. My old Hotpoint dryer lasted TWENTY SEVEN YEARS with only 2 repairs! This dryer didn't even last a month! I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS DRYER. They certainly don't make things like they used to. :(

Delivered at time specified and quickly connected. We bought our own plug and vent. Only vent available locally was 8' and a bit too long for space so we had to pull appliance forward from original unit's location. Still plenty of room and fits fine with flat back. Door really hard to open and a bit more 'tinny' that our old appliance which we replaced. The controls are very basic but fine for our uses. Dried two loads of different types - one on moisture sense and one on timed dry. Didn't allow to run into wrinkle control area of timer; however clothes came out fine. Since this is a very basic machine, don't think we'd pay more than sale price but appears good value at outset. Hope it lasts as long as our last Kenmore dryer!
