I loved the water heater for the first 2 years. Had hot water whenever we wanted/needed it. We saved a significant amount of money on our energy bill as well. We started losing faith in it just into the third year. Once again, we all wonder what temp our water is going to be when we turn on the shower or faucets. On it's worst days, it never, ever heats up beyond lukewarm, FOR THE ENTIRE SHOWER! Very disappointed. Nothing has changed on our part. I really did like/love it in the beginning. Can't afford to just run out and buy a new one now either.
Works like a charm, plenty of hot water for all. Even on the lowest setting this thing puts out enough hot water for all of use and some to spare. Much more efficient than the 5 year old one it replaced.

Needed a new water heater while plumbing was being done to install a new large soaker tub. I was hoping there would be enough hot water to have a comfortable bath... I was very pleased to find out that not only was there plenty of hot water for the tub but also plenty for others to shower while the tub was filling! I am very happy with this purchase.
Purchased for $650 and installed for another $848 . . . am I upset? You bet. The water heater was in perfect condition, albeit, it had a small dent on the back side of the tank. I overlooked the dent. Something needs to be done about the high costing, straight-forward, installation - more than double the cost of the heater. Check these things out when you purchase!

I was surprised that the water heater had a large dent in the upper edge and the installer said this is very typical. Needless to say, I was surprised. I'll be calling Sears to talk about selling me a water heater with damage on it.
