Overall, others give this:

Had for less than a year. The lowest speed is too fast. Eject started to be a problem after a couple of uses. Then one of the beaters quit working. Looks like you have had this problem since 2011. Why are you still selling this?
Had this mixer for less than 2 years. My wife liked the power but one of the beaters stopped turning. It was a gift so we didn't have the reciept. I took it apart to find the design uses plastic gears turning against a metal worm gear. The plastic gear stripped with normal use. Sent an email to Kenmore but they ignored me. Sears did try to help via a chat session but told me internal parts are not available. This is poorly made and they apparently won't stand behind it. I'll obviously be shopping elsewhere for a replacement.
Received as a gift at Christmas. Nice features, good name brand. Unfortunately the beaters are starting to flake the poor quality stainless coating. With the low usage and small amount of time I have owned, this should not happen. I don't recommend this model .
I received this as a gift from my 86 yo Mother & i didn't want to hurt her feelings by immediately returning it. Big mistake. On first use I noticed the beaters wobbled a bit. No problem I thought, unless it gets worse. Then I began to mix at the slowest speed & everything was getting thrown out of the bowl. Uh, oh no fixing that - will this mixer be useful if the slowest speed is too fast? So I washed & dried the beaters, then put them away. The next time I went to use the mixer, I noticed a lot of rust on the business end f the beaters! What a disappointment. Kenmore meant something to my Mother's generation, but it's junk today.
I wish I could give this thing just half a star! I received this mixer for Christmas in 2010. I don't use it that often, as I have large Kitchenaide mixer I used when baking for the holidays. I'm very disappointed that this thing only lasted 2 years. Things aren't made worth a darn anymore --there is no pride in craftsmanship, just greed for the almighty dollar!
When I first tried to put in the beaters they didn't seem to go in smoothly, but just figured it was just me. After making my cookies is when I ran into problems, beaters did not want to eject. It took me 10 tries to finally get them out. After washing them I tried putting them back in and ran into the same problem, didn't want to go in smoothly and just did not want to eject. I took the mixer back and exchanged it for another one thinking I just got a bad one, and guess what I had the same problem with getting it to eject the beaters. I finally called my husband over to see if he could get it to eject and it took quite a few tries before it finally would. He doubled checked putting beaters back in and trying to eject them again and it still had the same problem, so back it went. Such a shame because I loved the power, the retractable cord and that it came with assorted beaters.
I have one of the very large mixers that take up a lot of space but I use this one the most. It is small and compactenoughto fit inside my cabinet and not take up valuable counter space.
