We figured we would save a few buck and get the floor/scratch n dent model. I would be weary but you can get one heck of a deal though. Don't use our experience as the norm for this product. The first unit installed easy and fairly fast. Fill then fired the unit up and withing a few moments the tank started to leak (factory defect on a weld). We had to drain ane remove the unit. Called Sears and after a few calls they took it back under warranties full replacement. The unit was not even a minute in use. After all was said and done Sears was a good choice and was easy to work with. Now for how this unit will funtion as it should and last the lifetime is a wait and see. First day of use has yet to start. Should be a good value but only time will tell. Will write a better review as time goes on.

Extremely easy to install, quiet, hot water realized within 30 minutes. Is an upgrade to like water heater purchased seven plus years ago.

I replaced my 18 year old kenmore water heater that was still working great due to the age and not knowing how long it is suppose to last. This 1 definitely exceeds the old 1. I have to set it to minimum and still get 130+degree water, plenty of it, and it heats up fast...

10 year old Sears water heater failed over night. New water heater was in stock at store #2453 Queensbury NY and installed by my plumber by 5:00 pm that afternoon. Was pleased to see new water heater had electronic ignition instead of pilot.

We bought the water heater and service because water heater finally gave out after sandy submerged it under water last year. We went to other locations and even called to find out prices. When we went to Sears the associate was so helpful and sweet. She explained about the water heater as well as the instillation. We purchased the water heater and the service which was a reasonable price. We had our water heater the next day. Know with a family of 9 not having hot water for another couple would have been hard. Thank you sears for your product and service.
