The Kenmore 32676 40-gallon electric water heater has a glass-lined electric water heater to help prevent corrosion, Lineguard™ elements that resist lime buildup and foam insulation to prevent heat loss.

A 40-gallon electric water heater is the minimum recommended size for a 2- to 3-person household with typical water use.

  • Energy-efficient foam insulation prevents heat loss
  • The tank and parts have a 6-year limited warranty; labor has a 1-year warranty
  • Cobalt Blue Ultra Coat™ glass-lined tank and anode rod protect the inside of the tank from corrosion
  • Two Lineguard™ elements last longer and have superior resistance to line buildup; the lower handles typical demand, while the extra responds to heave demand
  • RotoSwirl™ self-cleaning cold-water inlet tube swirls water to prolong tank life and maintain energy efficiency by discouraging lime buildup
  • DualWatt™ lower element easily converts from 3800 watt to 5500 watt to accommodate different wiring

Never Run Out Of Hot Water
We bought this water heater because Our other one had gone bad. This water heater is so much better than anyone I have ever had, we never run out of hot water. That is good so nobody has to take cold showers. Even after I do a couple loads of laundry there is still hot water left to shower.

READ THE ENERGY TAG CLOSELY
I bought this unit after doing a lot of shopping and settled on this because I thought it was more efficient than the competition. It turns out the Energy Guide tag shown for the product is 6 YEARS OLD. The unit that was delivered showed an estimated yearly cost of $573 instead of the $508 on the website. Definitely not honest practice. None of the other manufacturers are doing that.

Great Water Heater

We purchased this water heater because our old one was slowly giving us less and less hot water...Then when I was taking brisk showers I decided to get a new one! I am happy with out purchase and it works wonderfully...No more cold showers for me!

Works great

Good buy, professional installation from Sears, does what it's made for: provide hot water! Took about 2 hours to install.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

hot waterheater eletric

i get this to replace my 30 gal which is 31 years old, back in 29 jun 07 i was concerns about the 40 gal, i want a bigger size but due to my limited space i have to settle for this one. to my surprise with the household of 3 (a 9 years old son which he like to take a long shower) there is plenty of hot water left after son, wife shower and do dishes and i still able t to take a hot shower. this size is great for a small space. and i have yet to run out of hot water. the hot water itself was not very hot, i have to raise the setting up to about 125, the manufacture setting was at 120, make sure u read the instruction manue before u change the setting.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
