No one in its class performs better* and no one in its class cleans better.**
The Kenmore® 28102 washer is now bigger.*** It also features the high-performing Triple Action® impeller to provide a deep clean, 3-part wash motion while using less water. This triple action system includes a wash basket motion, an impeller action and a burst of concentrated detergent pumped through the wash plate.
The white Kenmore 2810 washing machine uses 63% less water and 73% less energy for over $175 per year in total savings.† It also makes it easier than ever to get whiter whites, thanks to the Timed Oxi™ dispenser. Just press a button, and your oxi additives are released into the wash at the right time to help boost cleaning power. Set-in stains are no match for the Soak cycle that helps eliminate tough stains from clothing. The PreWash option also lets you customize your wash to clean organic stains like berries, wine or extra-dirty loads.
- Combining wash basket motion, impeller rotation and a burst of concentrated detergent, the Triple Action® impeller deep cleans fabrics while using less water.
- Stainboost™ extends wash time for a deeper soak, better cleaning penetration and more powerful stain removal while remaining gentle on fabrics.
- The timed Oxi-Option™ is designed to automatically add powdered oxygen cleaners at just the right moment in your washer’s cycle for deeper cleaning and brighter whites.
- Designed to effectively clean up to 20 towels at once, this 4.5 cu. ft. capacity washer gets more clean in fewer loads.
- Rapid basin rotation uses centrifugal force to remove excess moisture from fabrics quickly, reduce dry times and ease transfer from washer to dryer.
**Among leading brand top load high efficiency washers with washplates greater than 4.0 cu. ft. and less than 4.7 cu. ft. as measured by DOE standards, based on an 8 lb load.
***As compared to Kenmore model 28002.
†Compared to a deep fill top load washer manufactured before 2004, using the normal cycle. Average use, 11 year life and 10 loads per week.
††100% cotton, RN# 15099 from Sears, each weighs 0.90 lbs new, and are 49" x 25" new.

I have had this washer about 3 months and have no complaints at all. I was concerned about it washing king comforters because i did not know if 4.5cf would be large enough. After talking with friends who have this size, i decided to purchase it. This washer gets my clothes clean. The wash time is a little longer but i just put a load on before I go to work or while I am cooking dinner or watching tv. No big deal. My old Kenmore washer was the standard agitator. When it finally quit working, it was 34 years old. One more note, my sales person, Michael, at the Lafayette, LA Sears store was most helpful and did everything for me. Love Kenmore.
If you're looking for a great HE large capacity washing machine that really gets clothes clean I suggest you give this washer a try. I love it and I've gone through 3 washing machines in the past 10 years because they just didn't last and the repairs cost more that the machines! Nice job Sears!
We had this modeled delivered (by a couple of guys who reeked of cigarettes -- could still smell it the next day). Had to call Sears back immediately because the input nozzles leaked. They sent some other guys out to reinstall the hoses. Nozzles still leaked because the cheap plastic input nozzles were stripped. They switched it out for a new one and now, two months later, they are leaking again. Horrible. Wish I never bought this.
I wanted to use this washer for awhile before posting a review. I really can't say anything positive about a HE washer. I don't understand how it's more efficient since wash cycles are anywhere between 30 & 40 minutes longer and I have to use a second rinse for everything because it simply does not rinse the detergent out of the clothes. Not sure of the purpose of the glass lid unless one likes to stand and watch laundry being washed. It doesn't get really dirty clothes clean like my old washer did. The one positive is that a queen size comforter can be washed in it. Since the only large capacity washers are HE I guess I'm stuck with this one. I can't help but wonder what they were thinking when they designed this washer. In all fairness, I do like Kenmore appliances in general, just not this HE washer.
I have had this machine 28102, for one month and absolutely love it! Unlike some of the negative reviews, my machine cleans excellently with no soap residue, no tangling, and no shredding of clothes. My husband works in a shipyard and his jeans are often saturated with mud. My first load of laundry included old pastel towels that were black from 12years of dirt from under my old machine. They came out spotless on a normal cycle with hot water. I did not pretreat those towels or do any kind of presoak. The delicate cycle has been great for hand washables. My machine holds 2 king quilts or 1 heavy king comforter easily. There are so many cycles and options that any cleaning need is met. The machine is very easy to use and is very quiet. I gave it 4 stars because the lid needs to be open between uses and the drain hose is only 4 feet long and we needed longer (there is an extension kit).

After buying another kenmore model that we had to return twice we went for this one ,, it looks nice ...I like seeing inside it for adding more detergent etc .. Has a lot of cycles and options to choose from ,,, I have only had it a few weeks but I have no complaints so far ,, it's fairly quite where the other model was very loud ,,, all these new washers take longer to wash but there is an express cycle to use ... I would re -commend this one !!!
I purchased this washer for my wife/house for Christmas. It has been in use non stop for 6 days being tha we have three teens and a baby in our home. This machine has been nothing less then awesome. The clothes are super clean. The washer is very quiet in every mode.No issues. My wife loves the simple operation and washing mode selections. She also said there is no control for the load size because the machine self adjusts .I noticed there wasn't very much water with each load but apparently that's how it works. I must say my wife is very happy with this machine, so like they say. Happy wife make for a happy life. Enjoy..

I tried to get used to this washer but am really ticked off I didn't return it right away. I don't know how this washer got out of quality control. Just sent another load of clothes through another rinse cycle because even with 2 rinses, which I always have to select, the clothes still come out with detergent on them and often times unclean. My 25 year old machine that I got rid of did a much better job! I spend twice as much time in the laundry room now. If you are still bent on getting this machine, you can have mine for 1/2 price! The dryer however is fabulous.
This item is a piece of junk!!! Don't waste your money! I've had this washer for 14 months and of course, it bites the dust after the 1 year warranty has expired. The bearings went out on the spin cycle and it's $285 for parts and labor. It was always VERY noisey during the spin cycle and now it's TERRIBLE!!! What a waste of money!!!!
