No one in its class performs better* and no one in its class cleans better.**
The Kenmore® 28102 washer is now bigger.*** It also features the high-performing Triple Action® impeller to provide a deep clean, 3-part wash motion while using less water. This triple action system includes a wash basket motion, an impeller action and a burst of concentrated detergent pumped through the wash plate.
The white Kenmore 2810 washing machine uses 63% less water and 73% less energy for over $175 per year in total savings.† It also makes it easier than ever to get whiter whites, thanks to the Timed Oxi™ dispenser. Just press a button, and your oxi additives are released into the wash at the right time to help boost cleaning power. Set-in stains are no match for the Soak cycle that helps eliminate tough stains from clothing. The PreWash option also lets you customize your wash to clean organic stains like berries, wine or extra-dirty loads.
- Combining wash basket motion, impeller rotation and a burst of concentrated detergent, the Triple Action® impeller deep cleans fabrics while using less water.
- Stainboost™ extends wash time for a deeper soak, better cleaning penetration and more powerful stain removal while remaining gentle on fabrics.
- The timed Oxi-Option™ is designed to automatically add powdered oxygen cleaners at just the right moment in your washer’s cycle for deeper cleaning and brighter whites.
- Designed to effectively clean up to 20 towels at once, this 4.5 cu. ft. capacity washer gets more clean in fewer loads.
- Rapid basin rotation uses centrifugal force to remove excess moisture from fabrics quickly, reduce dry times and ease transfer from washer to dryer.
**Among leading brand top load high efficiency washers with washplates greater than 4.0 cu. ft. and less than 4.7 cu. ft. as measured by DOE standards, based on an 8 lb load.

I've currently had this product for almost a month. I works perfectly, the timed oxi and softner options make the most difference when compared to my old unit. My clothes look a lot cleaner and smell fresh. If you are woried about the high effiency bs... dont!! the deep wash cycle fill the tub up completly and works like a charm.
This by far is the worst washer I have ever had. I got this item in November and within 3 weeks it started destroying my towels and clothes. Brand new things had holes in them, brand new towels started to unravel.. Even my old 15 year old dryer never destroyed ONE item. I thought maybe I had a faulty product so I returned it for another one since they had a good reviews.. Wrong, still destroying all my things. I now hold off from washing things too much because I know the washer will ruin them the more I do. Sadly I will have to get a new one or sell this one. I have no idea what I'm going to do but wow I just threw $700 out the window
We purchased this washing machine 4 days ago. No matter what, every load registers an unbalanced load error (uL) which means the load does not complete spinning. We've run everything from sheets (properly arranged as per the manual), delicates, jeans, baby clothes.. I'm out of ideas. We will be returning this machine on Saturday. I don't have time to babysit a washing machine through each load, rearrange clothes multiple times and still wind up with soaking wet clothes at the end of the cycles. For the record, the washing machine is perfectly level and we are using one Tide HE pod per load.
disappointing! transmission replaced twice. no washer for 10 days on 1st repair. no washer 15 days on 2nd repair. Still waiting. only 11 months old. Thankfull for 2 year warranty. No manual. Not informed of rental washer svc. Wish I had my old agitator washer back. High Efficiency washers are so overrated.
I purchased the Kenmore 4.5 cu. ft. HE washer two weeks ago, and I am very happy with it. For comparison purposes, my last washer was an 11 year old GE with an agitator. This being my first HE, I didn't know exactly what to expect. So far it has worked very well for our family of two. It is just the right size for us, and could handle the workload of a slightly larger family - but if you have a large family you may want to consider a larger capacity. I was able to fit a queen size comforter in it, but anything larger would be too much. It is a much quieter machine than my last one, which is a nice benefit of the Kenmore HE. Perhaps this is the result of it being a new machine, but it seems to get clothes much cleaner than my old GE washer. The clear lid is a nice bonus - it is kinda cool to see how these things work. Clothes ring out very dry, saving some time in the dryer. So far, it is the perfect washer for us.
I purchased this washer on February 15 and had it delivered on the 20th. My laundry room flooded the day before delivery so there were wet clothes everywhere. I have done 5 loads so far and I've had no problems with the washer. I haven't had any leaks and the clothes are getting clean. The sales person was a big help in explaining how to use the washer because she had one herself. I have no complaints so far, but I will update if things change.
I bought this machine after doing extensive research on washers. I've been a Kenmore appliance owner for more than 20 years. The machine was installed on Feb. 3, 2015 and on Feb. 14 it leaked from underneath while doing a load of towels. I scheduled a repair call and then cancelled in order to first have my plumber rule out any problems with the supply or drain lines inside the wall. No plumbing problems. I then ran two loads of laundry while sitting in the laundry room to watch for leaks. On the third load, which was towels on the heavy duty cycle, it leaked! My previous Kenmore washer failed (pressure level switch failed) and overflowed and flooded my laundry room and adjacent room, causing extensive damage to my house. Even after the switch and timer were replaced, the "repaired" washer leaked again, which is why I replaced the washer. A new washer should not leak after being in use less than two weeks! I can't be this unlucky with washers. It must be the Kenmore brand! In addition, I questioned just how well clothes were getting clean, as the same clothing items would stay on top of the load and never get below water. I would give this washer a negative rating if I could.

I promise to update on this machine from time to time. I'm interested in reporting how long it lasts and how well it does. Change is a constant thing in consumer goods. You develop certain expectations and experiences. Such as with different trusted brands, etc. We bought a GE high efficiency washing machine after owning a lady Kenmore washing machine for many years. Expectation--that it would last a long long time and be relatively trouble free like our old washing machine. Well, not so. The motor went out in less than a year. Was replaced under warranty. The machine went on for four more years. Then, wouldn't spin. Repairman said, computer was out, replacement of part alone was $450, he said, don't go down that road. Get a new machine. Well, the worry there is, buying something that would also be problematic and expensive to boot. Bottom line: they ain't what they used to be. You aren't going to get 15 years out of a washing machine. Yes, you can still buy the old style agitator machine that isn't energy nor water efficient but the models have pretty small capacity -- 3.4, 3.6 cubic feet. We wanted a larger model that would do a good job and had largely good reviews and ratings. This was that machine. SInce it has a clear view window glass on top, you can watch it to see what it does. It is weird to see how little water it uses. The machine does various things and really works to get the clothes agitated and circulated around. Bottom line: so far so good. We did have one unbalance problem--a cotton blanket mixed in with sheets and pillow cases. The machine gives a "UB" code on its screen to let you know. It will not do as the washing machines of old did, and bang loudly and keep going until you stop it. THis machine will just stop and make you correct the problem. We tried redistributing the load but no dice so we took the cotton blanket out and let the machine finish the load without that; then we tossed in the blanket alone to let it spin dry. We've done a ton of loads in the weeks we've had the machine thata's the only time. Remembering, every washing machine gets a balance problem occasionally and usually, it's something really heavy. We've washed huge loads of towels, etc. no problem. The other thing with people complaining about these machines wrinkling clothes. My experience has been, they spin out the clothes so dry, that if you leave them sitting in the machine for hours and hours or overnight after the load is done, they almost literally dry in the machine. Our solution has been, pretty much just throw the clothes in the dryer within a few hours and no more wrinkles. The machine has done a good job for us so far, and judging by less lint in the lint catcher in the dryer, seems to be a lot less harder on clothes than our past machines. I will report any problems/issues as they occur, hopefully this review process here allows updates/edits as time goes by. We did buy the 5 year protection plan.
The machine has all the features. Unfortunately it doesn't work. Many service calls. The machine stops during spin cycle, and we are consistently told there is no problem with the machine. The problem reportedly is excessive soap, improper loading and other similar issues. We are not first time washing machine users. This will be the last Kenmore product in our household.
