Machine does not wash clothes. I bought this to replace my old Kenmore front load washer (which has worked great for 15 yrs & still does, I simply thought it time to "upgrade" since the dryer finally went out). This new design is a disaster. Allow me to enumerate: 1. The "agitator" (for want of better word) slopes from the back of the drum to the front and progressively gets shorter in height. A quick comparison of agitator height (at its center) to drum height is ~9% (compared to my old washer's 14%); this results in not enough agitation & dirty clothes. 2. There is a very large gap between agitator's end and the door gasket of ~29% (compared to my old washer's 15%); this results in small articles pushed to door where they get stuck & don't get washed. 3. Not enough water injected. Except for the "bulky" setting the clothes are simply not wetted enough to properly wash. I've been getting around this by using the bulky setting, but clothes come out wetter and the settings cannot be adjusted for a faster spin cycle. My old washer does a better job of washing clothes, this new machine is "obviously" more water efficient, but designers forgot that the purpose of a washing machine is to wash clothes! 4. Whoever came up with the idea to inject water at start/stop intervals did not consider the pipe "hammering" that takes place. Unbelievably noisy, and I can't understand what the purpose for this is. I suppose on a positive note, the end of cycle chime is "so pleasant" to hear. Too bad more energy wasn't spent on producing a product that actually washes clothes instead of giving us a product that chimes so pleasantly at the end of the cycle. Overall I'm very disappointed in the machine. Don't waste your money and look for a better machine. Take note of the ratios I've quoted above, perhaps another machine has a better design. especially look at the distance between the "agitator" and the door--too big and clothes will get stuck here and not have a chance at all of any washing action.

I BOUGHT THIS WASHER, BECAUSE MY OLD ONE (ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD WITH ME) DIDNT WORK ANYMORE. EASY TO USE, QUIET AND THE CLOTH COMING OUT ALMOST DRY.

Worked well for four months. Then it stopped spinning. Needs repair. Also, I wish it had a separate spin cycle. The best is rinse and spin. I believe that I would rather have a machine that was not electronic(computerized). Now I need a repairman. My husband can not fix it.
this machine cause a condition called water hammer. The machine fills with water and stops abruptly which cause your water pipes to bang. This can cause issues with your water pipes and you may need to install a water arrester.
This replaced an aging agitator-style washer. I have no prior experience with front loaders for comparison, and after using the machine for over a month I am pleased with the purchase. For first-time users there is a bit of a 'learning curve' as these machines function quite differently from the old style washers (for instance, don't expect it to 'fill up' with water). There are plenty of settings to explore, yet the Normal setting has served my general purpose well. My washer is in the basement and the only thing that I really hear is some 'water hammer' (commonly occurs when a valve closes suddenly at an end of a pipeline system causing a pressure wave in the pipe - also called hydraulic shock). This is probably more of a plumbing issue than the machine, but is not that disconcerting. Other than an occasional 'thumping' at a certain spin speeds, the washer does a pretty good job of balancing the load (I actually watched it redistribute the contents when too much vibration was detected, thus correcting the problem). I have sat through entire cycles out of sheer curiosity and everything seems to function as expected. Pretty amazing stuff, especially when coming from such a dated washer. So far I have not used the 'Extra High' spin setting as the 'High' setting is very effective at removing water. I'm not sure about the 'jet taking off' sound is that some reviewers have mentioned as what I hear seems in context with what could be expected from this type of washer (although I have noticed that sound at a laundromat with commercial washers). Sometimes I can not even see the contents as a result of the spin speed. As a result, drying times have greatly reduced even using a medium heat setting (which I typically use). Oh, I also hear the chime when completed ;-) My first experience is so far a good one, and therefore I'm still loving this machine. Hopefully my satisfaction will continue for years to come.
I love this washer!! It is whisper quiet & does fantastic job of cleaning our clothes!! I love all the features & have begun using the sanitize feature on dish towels, sheets & bath towels! Someone on here commented on wrinkles in her clothes, this washer has a steam cycle if u think u need it but my clothes come out just fine without using the steam! Absolutely NO COMPLAINTS about the quality of this washer! And the current price of $549 (what I pd) is AWESOME!! You do need the pedestal which is great, makes it the perfect height for me! I'm 5' tall & cldnt always reach clothes in the bottom of my old top loader!!!! No more sore shoulders for me!!!

We are happy with this washer, very large capacity. The only thing we would say that needs improvement is the excessive shaking and noise during spinning. It shakes more than usual (as compared to the other washers I've had over the years)..... not a show stopper, we would still recommend it, but just be aware especially we have the dryer stacked on top of it the shaking and noise is very pronounced.

I bought this washer because my mother-in-law recommended a front load unit to me. I think the unit it fairly quiet, but somewhat sounds like a jet taking off when it starts. The only other issue is the wrinkles in my clothes right out of the washer are difficult to get out. Think I will switch to a steam dryer to help me take care of that issue. Or maybe change washers. I'll let my mother-in-law keep hers. I want a new unit.
We had been putting up with a washing machine that sounded like a jet plane taking off. Finally it had to be replaced and after checking out many machines and reading reviews I went with this machine and am very glad I did. We have an open floor plan and the washer is just off the kitchen with no door to separate it. It's whisper quiet. No longer do we have to turn the volume up on the radio or TV when it is running. And the size is great verses the 8 year old one we replaced. I wasn't going to buy the matching dryer, but my husband talked me into it. Am I glad I did. It would have taken two dryer loads to dry the one load I took out of the washer (and the washer was not even completely full). I would recommend this to everyone.
