Year and a half old and drip tray caved in due to rust. This will become my least durable grill ever. It has the kenmore cover and is under a roof so this is not normal. Charbroil grills are ugly but proved to be better quality than Kenmore.
Great grill, heats up fast, not that hard to put together, did it on my own in an afternoon just alittle time consuming, I would recommend getting it pre assembled if you can. The searer works great for steaks.
I bought this grill after looking at and wanting a Weber Spirit E-310, but thought that Weber was a bit overpriced and they hardly ever go on sale. The SEARS sales rep explained a lot to me about the Kenmore grills and I purchased this unit (a red one). I grilled on it last weekend and found out that it does heat up fast and you have to watch the temp. The one thing that I have found out is that the on-board thermometer is NOT accurate. I thought it was, but it was not working properly. I tested the temp inside using a probed temp sensor and the temps were about 200 degrees apart. The probe said 200 degrees and the grill's temp gauge said it was 400-425 degrees. I believe the wired probe temp sensor. It could be a defective grill temp sensor, but I will use my probe from now on when cooking. The unit is nice looking and grills food nicely. I wrapped the entire metal drip pan in aluminum foil and molded it to the pan. All I have to do now is remove the pan, change the aluminum foil and everything down there stays clean and hopefully, not rust out. I particularly like the enameled finish of the grill. It is easy to clean. The one other thing that I do not care for is the one "non-castered" wheel. It makes it a little difficult to pull away from a wall, but I am sure that can be modified later.
my husband has had several grills in the past ranging in price from $149.99 to $699.99 and this grill by far exceeds all the others. It is a great grill for the price. we are very happy with our purchase.

This grill seems to be cheaply made and not altogether built to last. Assembly was missing screws and took 2 of us quite some time to complete. After using a Weber for the last 15 years (yes 15 years and still gave it to a friend when we moved) this one seems built to break. Only time will tell....
Burners, flame tubes, burner supports (welded to lower grill), drip pan are all rusted out after 1 year of use. Only the burners and flame tubes are covered under warranty after 1 year. The lower part of the grill should be replaced due to the burner supports being rusted out, but that would require complete disassembly and 80.00 for parts.
Zero stars. Completely rusted out in less than two years! The inside shelf is gone, just a pile of rusty pieces lying on the bottom. Friends have the same grill and we jokingly said "I bet if I open the doors and look inside it will be completely rusted, it was! Sears claim they know nothing about rust complaints/ problems/ but web is filled with complaints.Wanted store credit to buy different grill from Sears. They said they could not help us.
This is my second Kenmore gas grill. The first one lasted ten years and was a great grill. DO NOT BUY THIS GRILL!!! It would have burned down my house if I wasn't setting on my porch waiting for my food to finish cooking. The grill is two years old and kept on our screened-in back porch. Tonight I was cooking and almost finished when I heard the grill making a pinging sound, it was the welds on the bottom of the pan just below the burners. The whole bottom caved in down toward the gas tank. You could smell the paint burning. Like I said, the grill is located on the inside of the porch so it did not rust or get damaged. It is just made a lot cheaper than my old grill. I will never buy another Kenmore grill again.

This grill was awesome for 6 months. So at the current sale price of $299.00 it is a $50 a month grill. Beyond 6 months it is a major rustbucket. I had to replace the bottom with a self fitted cookie sheet.......2 times. It is now 2 1/2 years old and barely functions. It still looks great on the outside but that's about it. Burners are lame. I have to let it warm up for a while..I mean a while before using. I do not recommend this grill.
