Everything you need in a grill
Purchased this grill after exhausting research, Basically the same grill as C.R. ******** recommendation only in enameled red. Took ~ 2 hrs to assemble however all that is needed is a phillips head screwdriver. There is one thing I did different then the instructions and that is lowering the back brace using only 2 screws instead of the 4 in order to have quick easy removal of the drip pan. Having said that this grill heats very quickly and the porcelain coated cast iron grates are easy to clean and one of its best features in a grill of this price range. 2 things I recommend.... 1.) before cooking anything spray grates with Pam spray or equivalent this helps make them more non stick (much like grandma's cast iron frying pans) and 2.) Cover the drip pan with Aluminum foil this helps with clean up and also protects the aluminum drip pan from being eaten up by the juices and salts from your grilling, and the Aluminum foil is much easier to replace then hoping to find another drip pan

Pretty loking POOR burners
Great LOOKING grill but grills are all about the burners and this grill has problems - burners never get really hot, and the searing burner that is supposed to glow red hot like an electric space heater , shot out flames and made a very strange noise when used - I don't trust this burner and fear that it will explode. This is the second exact model I purchased- one in Ct in 2012 and one in FL in 2013. The first one had the searing burner blow after 11 months and Sears was great at sending out a repairman and ordering the part but it took several weeks and a error in ordering to actually get the correct part- by that time winter set in and I never really tried the replacement. The newest purchase surprised me because the searing burner immediately started out faulty- shooting up flames instead of actually being a glowing hot burner- and that noise- very strange- Shame on me for trying the same grill with Sears!

WARNING - DO NOT BUY THIS GRILL! ZERO STARS

Initially, I was happy with this purchase. It did the trick and the searing burner was a nice feature. However, over time the fact that this grill is of extremely poor quality becomes painfully evident. You'd think that paying for a grill that cost $300 would last for more than 2 years. No - not the case with this one. The metal drip pan and burners have completely rusted out after a little over 2 years of use and disintegrated to the point where it is a complete and utter fire hazard to run. It's not like good care was not taken, its just that cheaply constructed. Kenmore used to be a quality name, but I guess no longer. Looking for a replacement now and it won't ne a Kenmore. I learned my lesson. Stay away!

Good if you only need grill for a year

First grill purchase, but thought spending $300-$400 would get me a grill that would last more than a year... Ignitor stopped working (not a surprise really).. All the heat difusers have rusted through (despite me also buying a cover and keeping the grill covered year round) But this is the kicker, not one, but all three welds that you attach the burners to in the fire box have rusted through and fallen off... Just got off the phone with Sears parts and as none of this is covered, would cost me $200 in parts just to get the grill in working order again...They had no interest in giving me a prorated price or working with me at all...Think I'll just go look elsewhere for a better quality product.. To be fair, for the year and few months it worked, I liked the grill and searer and used it quite a bit; and i know grills don't last forever, but i need something i'm not going to have to replace every other year... Be warned before you buy a Kenmore grill...Especially since it does not seam as if financially Sears is going to be around much longer, and I'm starting to understand why...Used to be a huge fan and bought a ton of their products...kinda sad

Rusted throughout

This grill had very uneven surface temperatures from the beginning that made cooking on this grill very hard. After having this grill for one year I couldn't be any more disappointed. The grease trap has rusted though and the burners and grill plates have rusted through and need to be replaced. All this occurred in a year all while cover was used. Poor product.

Great Grill

This Kenmore grill is one of the best. It's a great color and works really well. Our last Kenmore grill lasted about 8-10 years. The last few years we've purchased a few different brands and what a mistake. They only last 2 years at most and then back to the store... Nothing last as long or works as well as a Kenmore grill.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Fire Hazard: Grill and everything around it went up in flames

Purchased PG-40411SOL Kenmore 4 burner gas grill July 2013. Assembled at Sears ready to go. Used 10-15 times. Heated grill on Oct 24 - within minutes it exploded - flames several feet high - everything around it caught fire almost instantly - major damage, lost furniture - all documented and > 100 pics - Sears vendor Sedgewick assigned liability case right away - Sedgewick hasn't moved on it in over 3 weeks because "they are awaiting more information". Please be careful if you have one of these grills. I've used them for oaver 20 years - never experienced anything like this. Kenmore name but PG Proctor and Gamble manufactured... and purchased by Sears with Sedgewick handling claim - i.e. many responsible but no one accountable... Product is not safe - similar cases on consumeraffairs.com.

red gas grill

I love this outdoor grill, it has a searing burner, and makes great steaks and chops ! the grill space is large enough for a big party , and has the extra side burner for heating corn or beans, etc ! very easy to use and the electric start on each burner is a great feature .

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great grill

This is a great gill. I got it as a wedding gift. I love how big the grilling surface is and the sear burner is awesome. I also got the cover to go with it. Hopfully it lasts for years to come.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Poor Quality Grill Grates

The grill grates on this BBQ grill flaked, chipped and rusted after a year's use even though it was cleaned after each use, covered and on a covered deck. Sears price to replace the grates was $125. Outrageous!
