Two things stand out immediately: the cast iron grates which mean they won't rust away in 2 years like so many of the chrome plated steel rod types have a tendency to do and the electric ignition built into the controls for each burner control. I also like the 4 wheels, my last one had only two and made it harder to reposition. One the debit side of the ledger, the grill is pretty much all steel construction and not cast aluminum in the main grill body like my last one. I fear rust could take a toll sooner rather than later. It seems a little more flimsy than some other grills I've had previously. Still, the sale price made it seem worth a shot. We see in 4 or 5 years down the road.
Gets plenty hot, easy to assemble, searing burner great for steaks. Top rack removable making larger items, like turkey's or whole chickens easy to grill/roast.
It's not a high end grill, but very good for the price. I liked the mocha color in particular. It took a few hours to put together, but it was nothing I wasn't able to handle, following the instructions. You could always party seats to assemble it for you, though. I've used it a few times and it's worked very well. Even at the lowest setting it puts out a lot of heat so you have to be careful. You can't set it and walk away or you'll burn your food. Better too much power than not enough, I say.
After 3 years this finally had a problem that seems to be seen with this model where you eventually have rusting on gas connector as well as the screw holes rusted out as well paid over 300.00 lasted 3 years , sears does not want to do anything about the defect that many have complained about. Don't waste your money on this one nice design and color but for the price you'd expect it to last longer.
We are happy with this purchase. The grill works perfectly. Its easy to install and has lots of space with the side tables and all.
Within 4 months the grill rusted, temperature gage has been replaced and the handle has broken off. The product has inferior paint quality causing exposed metal and rapid rusting. The handle is being replaced for the second time...and dealing with the horrendous customer service that doesn't follow through or have the power to make any decisions had made buying this poor quality product a nightmare.
Bought grill 6/30/13 and uncovered grill in May 2014 to find the side handle rusting and 1 of cast iron grill tops rusting. Couldn't find receipt till 7/30 and was told out of warranty. Called store mgr in milford and was offered $15 in reward money. I also bought a cheaper grill on the same day and it is in great shape.WOW!
