This is the best grill I have ever purchased. This grill is very well constructed and is made to last. It is easy to put together as long you follow the manual (it takes about 2 hours to put to assemble). Kenmore has designed this grill to be easily moved around without the fear of it breaking. The design is first rate and is a very high quality grill. I would highly recommend this grill for anyone to purchase.
The Kenmore rotisserie burner grill gets the job done, The slide out tank is easily accessible and the electric ignition works instantly (except with the side burner which doesn't respond to the spark, but can easily be lite with a flame). The rotisserie flame is more difficult to ignite, but works well once lite. The electric motor and rack for the rotisserie is a necessary option at about another $40.
For the price, this grill is awesome. I paid $399 (got the online sale price at the time, in-store after showing printout of the online listing), the in-store sales price was $499. As a bonus, the in-store version was already assembled - while a bit clunky to load up in the 4-Runner - had to leave the hatch open, and strap it in - we got it home, and put it to immediate use. After a couple of months of use, I purchased and installed the Natural Gas Conversion Kit. It took about an hour to install, but I was cleaning the grill inside at the same time. I have seen no differences in performance since the installation, and the BTU rating is the same for both the propane and the NG nozzles. I'm really a charcoal person, but when you live in a place where it's sometimes not even allowed to use an open flame due to severe drought, you do what you can to prevent wildfires. Embers are not not a good thing to have. Anyway, I've had no big issues with this grill and so far it's been an all around great experience to cook on it. The few minor things I'd like to point out are: - Propane tank running out after fewer that expected grilling occasions. Then again, I've only had smaller grills before so it wasn't completely unexpected. - The writing on the plastic knobs is wearing off a bit quicker than expected. I had it without a cover for a few weeks, and that was all it took. Then again, the NG conversion kit came with new knobs, so that is also a non-issue. - When it rains and the grill is not covered, the grease pan (which is not very large) fills with rain water, overflows, and the under-grill cabinet have to be cleaned up. These three things however, are so minor to me that they do not diminish the value of the grill at all. They can all be avoided by caring properly for the grill. If you're expecting this grill to be the equivalent of a $2500 Weber - you're going to be disappointed, because it isn't. But... For the price, this grill is a great backyard grill - and with a cover, it'll last even longer.

I bought this grill primarily because it has a rotisserie burner. I actually used the rotisserie on my old grill more than any other feature. The webpage for this grill indicates that the rotisserie kit is sold separately. However, the part/item number listed does not correlate to any specific rotisserie kit. The mounting hardware on my existing rotisserie kit will not work on this grill. I ordered one of the "universal" rotisserie kits listed on the Sears website, but had to return it because it would not work, either. I have spent hours on the phone talking with Sears Customer Service, Retail Sales, and Parts. I have been told that Sears DOES NOT MAKE A ROTISSERIE KIT for this grill -- but no one can even tell me what "universal" kit(s) will fit this grill! So, if you are considering buying this grill for the rotisserie burner, DON'T! Buy one that will work with the vast majority of "universal" rotisserie kits available Further, the side burner electric igniter is defective. Sears is sending a technician to work on it next week -- a month after I contacted them regarding the problem! If someone out there knows of a rotisserie kit that will work on this grill, please tell me, or post it in a review.
This grill is easy to use and produces great results. It has enough room for what I want to grill without crowding the food together. As this is my first gas grill, I am still learning its capabilities and how to manage temperatures. Mine didn't include a recipe book (only assembly instructions), which may have helped if it included some tips on that.
I bought my kenmore grill just a few weeks ago. It was a pleasure to put together, the instructions were pretty clear and concise. Took a few hours to put together. There were a few things that could have been a little clear. The only issue that I ran into with the grill assembly was I could not get the side burner igniter to work. I'll have to take the issue up with sears. It states in the manual if your have any issues after trouble shooting call sears. The grill itself is a great looking grill I opted for the all stainless steel. The grill has cast iron grates that was a selling point for me! Kenmore grill starts very easily by pushing in the **** and turning gas on. The grill heated up very fast to BBQ in about 5-8 minutes. The first thing I made on the grill was a. Tri Tip it came out amazing! The one thing I wish this grill did come with is the actual rotisserie assembly.
We bought this BBQ to replace our old Kenmore BBQ that lasted a good 8 years (and is still working pretty good, although there is a burner that seems and little clogged and there's rust here and there) We decided to purchase a new BBQ rather then replacing all the parts that were needed for the old one. We are glad that we did. We like Kenmore products and always purchase the extended warranty. (you can't go wrong with it) We have used the warranty in the past with other Kenmore product and have never ran into any problems. Sears stands by there warranties.
