Other reviews talked about the difficulty of controlling the heat and burning the food. I've used this grill for three weeks now and love it. We grill three to four times a week and have cooked chicken, steak, ribs, and even pork tenderloins. All I can say is I think this is a excellent grill. Oh and I love the side table, very useful. No draws for pot holders or any thing. I put a towel bar inside the door to hang stuff on. I love this grill....
Very poor quality , just a made in China piece of garbage , Just over a year old ,all the stainless out side of the grill is rusted , inside pan is completely rusted out , temperature gauge is broke , I had better luck with a 99.00 special from Walmat it lasted 3 years , very disappointed with Sears on this grill cause warranty dosn.t cover rust Total waste of my money .

It's average for a grill. Some good features, some obvious flaws. It does the job, though. We bought the floor display and got a decent deal but when we got it home, the table extension would not extend all the way and we cannot figure out how to make it work right. It either has to do with the way they put it together or it is damaged goods. Have to wonder if they switched grills on us between taking it off the floor and carting it off to the warehouse before bringing it to the loading area.

While most of the grill is stainless stell. The bottom of the burner box is not and will rust away over time. This leaves the rubber gas grill exposed to the heat and is a fire hazard. There are numerous reports on consumer affairs about this issue. However, when I called the service rep to replace the part, their only answer was a completely new fire box for $350. Avoid this product.

The bottom of the burner box completely burned through in 16 months There is a 4"X6" hole in the center. You can look straight down and see the propane bottle. Paid approx.$500. Home tec came out. He was nice but basically told me tough luck, they don't cover rust. Its not rust it's burn through. $950 to fix. That's almost double the cost. There are 4 sheet metal screws and a pop rivet holding it in but it is sold as a burner box unit only. What has happened to sears/kenmore. They used to stand behind their products.
This went together easily - only good thing I can say about it. The grill runs too hot and flares terribly. I can cook on nothing but lowest setting 1 or 2 burners only. The grease trap/drain/pan is almost flat under the burners. I clean it every time but it catches fire doing 12 burgers on 2 burners set to low. Chicken is a nightmare. It does rotisserie a beef roast ok. The flame shields allow flame to curl around when the burners are on anything but low (all the way low), causing flareups. The edges are bent for stiffness but this catches grease so it burns. You have to scrape the grease down the pan into the catch tray. It's so flat it doesn't drain. One burner on low keeps the grill over 300dg so it's useless for ribs or pulled pork too if you don't prop the lid open. I should have returned it in the 60 day window -- but that is past. I've tried adjusting the burners but they seem to not really change much when I move the air adjustment. I've had 10+ different grills in my lifetime. Smoked meats, charcoal, gas .. should have kept the old rusted out webber spirit -- or popped the 700$ for a new one.
