Great product for the money

It takes two people to install this successfully, but if you do it correctly it works quietly and smoothly.  Probably best to have an exhaust (it is a vent afterall) of some type and maybe if you don't wait a year to plug in you won't have to complain so much.

Kenmore Convertible Range Hood 5205

My workmen thought it was much louder than what they normally install for same price and thought hum was not normal. Noise didn't bother me compared to old range hood and I like the light and night lite. However, don't feel that this works very well without duct to take smoke out through roof. It's ok but I would not highly recommend.

Range Hood

I recently purchased all new stainless steel appliances. I realized I forgot about the range hood. It looks wonderful over my Kenmore Gas Range.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Convenient and Matches With Stainless Appliances

I purchased Kenmore Elite Appliances for newly purchased home. Since I did not replace the cabinets, but may do so in the future. I did not see any point to installing an expensive range hood. I purchased this one, but was afraid it would be obvious it was not an Elite model. However, it matches well with the Elite appliances. It is quiter than I expected as well. Very satisfied.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

cheap plastic parts

We purchased this range hood in October of '13. I just placed an order for a second light lens assembly. In fact, these break so often I ordered 2. Each one costs a little more than $20., so we've spent $60. in replacement parts for a $200. range hood. The plastic tabs that secure the light shield in place crack & break of randomly. The lamp sockets themselves are made of plastic, as well. These are also cracked & need to be replaced.

Decent product

Kenmore, thus far, is the one Sear's product that I am continually satisfied with. We've been happy with the product without issue.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

range hood

The hood is nice, but I think it cost to much. I went to the store 3 times to get the right size light bulbs.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Hood Range vibrates kitchen cabinets and suction is from lights

Due to design, the majority of suction pulls steam through front lights, while little is pulled up through the filters in the rear of hood. I checked the instructions several times and unit is installed as recommended. Also, unit vibrates the kitchen cabinets.
