The main reason I purchased this water heater is because it is slim and will fit in the tight spot that we have. It also has a stand off on the bottom so that it will not rust out. It is about an inch or so off of the floor. Since we bought it we have found that the turn around time from cold to hot water is very short and is super insulated so it holds the heat very well. The installation is also pretty easy, even for a home owner like me. There are just three pipes to connect. The cold water going to the unit, the hot water and the relief that goes either through the wall or through the roof (like our's). Once you tighten the connections, just open the water faucets in the bathroom closest to the water heater and turn on the water and check for leaks. While you are checking for leaks the pipes are filling up and flushing the lines so it's a good idea to check the filter on the faucets for debris like rust in older houses (like our's). It's as simple as that and it works. Oh, It might take two people to take it out of the box and move it to the place you are going to install it. Great water heater, glad Sears makes it!
We bought this for my father in laws house. It is the only model that will fit in the closet designed for the hot water heater in his 70's ranch style house. Easy hook up and no problems so far. Been installed about a year. Hope they do not ever stop carrying this model, since nothing else would work for his house.
