  • Combining wash basket motion, impeller rotation and a burst of concentrated detergent, the Triple Action® impeller deep cleans fabrics while using less water.
  • Stainboost™ extends wash time for a deeper soak, better cleaning penetration and more powerful stain removal while remaining gentle on fabrics.
  • A small footprint makes this washer an easy fit for apartments, basements and starter homes, while powerful performance delivers the same clean you’d expect from larger machines.
  • Rapid spin speeds squeeze excess water from clothes, linens and more for faster, easier transfer to your dryer and shorter dry times.
  • Designed to help remove detergent build-up, cut down on odors and rinse away any left-over grime, the Clean Washer cycle provides essential maintenance for optimum performance.

Don't be afraid of an HE washer!
When I purchased my townhouse a year ago, I was thrilled to find that there was a washer and dryer in a laundry room on the first floor, a much more convenient location than the basement. It turned out to be a mixed blessing. The old Kenmore Series 70 washer was extremely noisy. When Sears had this model on sale, along with the bundled dryer, I couldn't resist. I was somewhat nervous about buying an HE washer. The published reviews on such machines are very mixed, to say the least. I downloaded the instruction manual and read it even before the machine was delivered. I was determined to do it right, in order to possibly avoid the problems others have reported with HE washers. I have only done three loads to this point but am very pleased. It is wonderfully quiet (particularly compared to my old washer). The laundry comes out clean. A full load on the Normal/Regular cycle took 45 minutes. I washed a queen size comforter on the "Bulky" cycle with an extra rinse. It took an hour and 20 minutes. The noises are different than a conventional washer. The different loading routine is somewhat difficult to get used to. I filled the machine with one load of clothes only to realize that I forgot to first pour the HE detergent in the bottom of the basket. Out the clothes came, in went the detergent, back in went the clothes. Don't be afraid of this HE washer! It's great!

Not Worth the Savings!
Bought this washer after my GE Front Loader died after 7yrs. I didn't want to spend almost $1000 on another front loader; I just wanted something that cleaned my family's clothes. I didn't mind a top loader as I use my mom's often and think it works fine. I wanted an HE washer that would save on water, but this has been a horrible purchase! I just received it today and have already arranged to exchange it. I don't mind spending another $220 for a front loader that I know will get my clothes clean! The agitator is small and doesn't move my clothes around at all. I kept pausing the wash to see what was going on inside and everything stayed exactly the same way as it was put in until the very end; It basically soaked in water, nothing more! We are a very active family - triathlons, mountain biking, bmx racing, etc.. - and need a washer that does more than soak our clothes! I could have filled the tub with water, put detergent in it, dropped my clothes inside and it would have been the same thing! My husband's clothes still had funky/sweaty body oder (underwear, socks, even under shirt sleeves...eeeww!). The tub is also very loose, causing it to swing around during the wash or spin cycles, and the wash is noisy! Spend a little more and avoid this washer, PLEASE! The ONLY way this washer will get clothes anywhere close to clean is if you keep the loads VERY small (tiny!), like near the tiny agitator, which in that case would make the rest of the 3.8 cu. ft. tub useless! We are a busy family of 4 (includes 2 very dirty males) who don't have time for tiny loads or stinky clothes! HORRIBLE!

Very disappointed with my high efficiency washer

When my 20 year old Whirlpool washer died I thought I would try a Kenmore brand as I have never purchased any Kenmore appliances and heard good reports. No problem until 16 months after purchase, warranty is 1 year! The local repairman said it was the transmission so 275 dollars later it was replace. A week later the machine would restart if the clothes were not removed immediately after cycle was completed and they are soaking wet after spin cycle. Repairman believes it could be the sensor board? They will be taking it to the shop to check it out...another week without a washer and it is only 16 months old!!! I am so upset with the brand and the poor quality. Shame on you Kenmore.

Love it!

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I purchased this washer 3 days ago and have washed several loads. It's a lot different from the old fashioned washer I had before. I read the user manual and followed the instructions. No problems at all. My clothes came out clean. The lid locks. The only thing I would like different is to be able to see through the lid and see what's going on inside.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great price for a good machine

When our 10 year old GE died we needed a new washer quick. Price was right and delivery by Sears was super quick. As for the washer, we have had it a week now and it has worked great. Handles large loads, , just follow the directions on how to load. Have had no problems with clothes not being cleaned or coming out with an odor. Clothes do get a slight wrinkle from the high speed, but it comes out in the dryer. Highly recommend this washer

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Horrible washer!!!

I bought this washer May of 2012. Since then we have had a repairman here 7 times. Today will be 8th time. Washer is a piece of junk! They have replaced about every part on it and it still won't spin out all the water properly. Last time they were here was 3 weeks ago. Customer service keeps giving us the runaround. One rep tells us that after 4 service calls in a year we can get a replacement or money back. Another one tells us 5 times. Another one tells us that we could have had the washer replaced in the first year thru manufacturers warranty since there were 3 calls in that year but we weren't told that when we called during that time. They won't do anything about it at this point. Will wait to see after this service call. The only good thing is that we purchased the protection agreement so isn't costing us each time servicemen show up. We will not buy anything else from Sears after this because of their service repair department reps. We are very disappointed in Sears and their service.

Horrible washer

I've had this washer 1.5 years and it's noisy. I tried selling it today and couldn't give it away once the ladies heard the noise during the cycles. I bought a new washer yesterday, NOT a Kenmore HE. I'll be paying someone to srap this one. Save your money and your hearing!

The worse washer I've ever owned!!!

Where shall I begin? 1. Clothes come out in a twisted mess and/or balled up. 2. Clothes come out with stains they didn't have when they went in. 3. Dark clothes come out with white spots even though I use a liquid detergent. 4. Clothes don't come out clean. 5. Very, very noisy! I had a repair man come out and he did not solve any of these problems. I have another coming out tomorrow. I don't want this machine! I'd rather pay double to get another one. DON'T BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!

I hate this machine

Worst washer I've ever used. I've had this washer for about 4 months and am so unhappy with it. Without the agitator in the middle it just wads up the clothing and doesn't rinse the soap out. I have it set to rinse twice and on most loads I run an extra rinse cycle. So that is 3 rinse cycles just to get the soap out of the clothes, so much for saving water and being energy efficienct. It's loud, it seems to take longer to do a load of laundry, I can't put as much in because I know the soap won't get rinsed. I could go on and on with my dislikes. I wish I could return this washer, such a waste of money! Don't buy!

NO NO NO

Wish I would have read these reviews before I purchased this washer. Worst Washer EVER!!! My old (1990) machine cleaned better that this one. The white clothes come out dingy, and the color clothes are not bright. I tried several different detergents with no luck. The machine controls the water level, so I think this is the problem. There is not enough water in the machine to clean the clothes properly. Ive had it more than 30 days, therefore I cant return it. However, because of my warranty Sears is allowing me to exchange it for another model. Thankful, for warranty and Sears GREAT customer service!!!!
