- Combining wash basket motion, impeller rotation and a burst of concentrated detergent, the Triple Action® impeller deep cleans fabrics while using less water.
- Stainboost™ extends wash time for a deeper soak, better cleaning penetration and more powerful stain removal while remaining gentle on fabrics.
- A small footprint makes this washer an easy fit for apartments, basements and starter homes, while powerful performance delivers the same clean you’d expect from larger machines.
- Rapid spin speeds squeeze excess water from clothes, linens and more for faster, easier transfer to your dryer and shorter dry times.
- Designed to help remove detergent build-up, cut down on odors and rinse away any left-over grime, the Clean Washer cycle provides essential maintenance for optimum performance.

This replaces my old GE washer which lasted for 10 years. The operating noise of this new Kenmore washer does not bother me. Bought it Jan 2014. However, this happened to me twice in a span of 5 months that I have to check the washer during the spin cycle. The machine suddenly made a loud noise while spinning. After opening the cover, I noticed that the clothes were pushed on one side. I just re-positioned them, then it completed its cycle. I think I fixed the problem by not mixing the delicates with the heavy laundry items (such as towels, sheets...).
Purchased this HE washer in January. Already had Sears to my home two times to fix the washer. The balance is off and needed to be reset, clothes take over 2 hours to wash and now Sears is coming again for the third time. Now if you put a load of clothes in before bed the washer is going all night!!! I don't know what is going on with this washer but the cycle stops (Express or Bulky) and then restarts right away. I don't have time to watch the washer machine for when the cycle ends and quickly get the clothes out before it starts again. Clearly this is an issue with this machine and hope the third time it gets fixed?? Buyer Beware of these issues.
Worst washer I've ever used. I've had this washer for about 4 months and am so unhappy with it. Without the agitator in the middle it just wads up the clothing and doesn't rinse the soap out. I have it set to rinse twice and on most loads I run an extra rinse cycle. So that is 3 rinse cycles just to get the soap out of the clothes, so much for saving water and being energy efficienct. It's loud, it seems to take longer to do a load of laundry, I can't put as much in because I know the soap won't get rinsed. I could go on and on with my dislikes. I wish I could return this washer, such a waste of money! Don't buy!
This washer has like a Stub in the middle of the washer where the agitator is...I guess this is the HE agitator....NOT IMPRESSED....This washer makes a TON of Vibration when running, almost walks across the floor (thank goodness it is in the laundry room on concrete floor)....I don't know, but with all that shaking I am concerned that this washer is not going to last long--it does this even with a small load...

We love this machine! Most of these negative reviews are probably from people who aren't using it correctly. I've done several loads already and haven't noticed any residue, it's relatively quiet, does a great job of cleaning, and the clothes don't come out any more wrinkled than our previous front loader. The residue problem is from using too much detergent. This one won't have the smell issues of a front loader but is still high efficiency. For the price, we got a washer that does what it's suppose to: clean clothes. We also have a door on our laundry room so I hardly notice when it's running. Just follow the directions on how to load it, how much detergent to use, and don't leave the laundry sit in it for extended periods of time. If you do all that it will perform superbly.
This is a a great washing machine. I have read some of the negative reviews and I can't say this enough: YOU MUST USE HE DETERGENT for it to work correctly. Just like when you wash laundry in any other machine, you should not pack the clothes in too tightly because they need room to move around and get clean. I followed the directions and it has worked great for me. My clothes are clean, smell good, no soap residue, and wet but well wrung out and ready to go in the dryer or on a clothesline when they come out.
Bought this washer last summer. My clothes come out with spots on them. They have gotten duller and my whites are no longer bright. Have stopped using the powder soap that was recommended to me. Went back to my Tide HE. The clothes have hardly Any water on them when they are washing. How can they possibly get clean. This is the worst wash I have had in 50 years. Not happy.
Bought this washer after my GE Front Loader died after 7yrs. I didn't want to spend almost $1000 on another front loader; I just wanted something that cleaned my family's clothes. I didn't mind a top loader as I use my mom's often and think it works fine. I wanted an HE washer that would save on water, but this has been a horrible purchase! I just received it today and have already arranged to exchange it. I don't mind spending another $220 for a front loader that I know will get my clothes clean! The agitator is small and doesn't move my clothes around at all. I kept pausing the wash to see what was going on inside and everything stayed exactly the same way as it was put in until the very end; It basically soaked in water, nothing more! We are a very active family - triathlons, mountain biking, bmx racing, etc.. - and need a washer that does more than soak our clothes! I could have filled the tub with water, put detergent in it, dropped my clothes inside and it would have been the same thing! My husband's clothes still had funky/sweaty body oder (underwear, socks, even under shirt sleeves...eeeww!). The tub is also very loose, causing it to swing around during the wash or spin cycles, and the wash is noisy! Spend a little more and avoid this washer, PLEASE! The ONLY way this washer will get clothes anywhere close to clean is if you keep the loads VERY small (tiny!), like near the tiny agitator, which in that case would make the rest of the 3.8 cu. ft. tub useless! We are a busy family of 4 (includes 2 very dirty males) who don't have time for tiny loads or stinky clothes! HORRIBLE!
I've had this machine for almost a year. I think it washes the clothes fine. You can fit plenty in it. My biggest complaint, which is major, is how unbelievably wrinkled things come out!!!! I have never ever seen anything like it. I've had both high end and cheap washing machines and this by far is the worst. Do NOT buy it!
